I am not able to access this site using iphone 3G because of the flash warning and I am also getting tons of dropped calls and fast draining battery. Anyone with asnwers to these problems?
Sorry man that made me laugh. I buy nothing made my apple, pure crap, I just straight up hate the damn company.
Having 3G on the whole time will drain your battery faster than the regular iPhone. Try dimming down the screen a bit. About the internet use and dropped calls idk what to tell you on that one. Usually when my phone drops a call I'm where there is hardly any reception.
can you view this site from your phone? most of the dropped calls are happening in common ares or in the street.
I'm able to view this site no problem on my iPhone, but then again I have the first generation iPhone so maybe it could be different?
Something changed on the site a while ago and I'm no longer able to view the site with my Blackberry because it doesn't have flash.
Never been able to use flash, as with any iphone. Battery life can be helped by dimming the screen, turning off wifi and EQ (ipod). My call signal is WAY better now
I can see the forums fine. It's the rest of the site that gives me trouble because of the no flash capability. The battery will go within a couple of hours if you're using the net, phone, and iPod consecutively.
So true. Heres some tips that I go by with my iphone. When I'm not at home its charching. When Im driving its charging. At work, not being used, rarely if anything. I'm not constantly on it so I can save some battery life.
I go straight to the GARM forum on my iPhone 3G. I don't have issues doing that, if that's what you mean. Haven't had any dropped calls, either. I'm not using 3G (the irony), which has helped battery life a ton.
Leaving 3g on will also give you better voice quality on calls. I leave 3g and wifi on and turn off gps and my battery lasts the whole day.
Nice constructive reply. In addition to what others say, you can set your Fetch settings to every hour or so if you dont NEED your emails immediately. Settings -->Fetch New Data--> whatever time you want to set it
Does Apple promise a complete Web experience when advertising - selling Iphones? The last time I checked, things like Flash and Silverlight capability were either in development or might not even make it to the Iphones (of this generation).
Honestly, I don't want Flash/Shockwave crap on my iPhone. Generally that stuff is more fluff and less detail oriented. It makes for hellaciously slow loading, and also usually involves autoplay music etc. If I wanted to experience flash, I'd get on my iMac.
i have an iphone question though: so i synced my phone with my exchange server at work and its fine and all I was able to get it up an running with relative ease (apparently others have had issues) but i had my default mail setting to 25 messages and yesterday I was trying to get to an email that I had received a few days back and I couldnt get to it...I couldnt try to download more messages...only my gmail account on the phone it allows me to download 25 more messages when i get to the end. I tried changing my setting to 200 messages but that didnt download any more messages. it wasnt an issue so much yesterday since i was near home and was able to hop on at home and get to the email. but in the future in case if I need to find an older email is there any fix or anything? Is the download more messages a pop/imap feature only?
Perfect example of why you should buy a regular phone that calls people. Do phones really need to connect to the internet, take pictures, and act as an iPod? No. Maybe I am old fashioned.
I agree, all those sophisticated phones are the known to mess up easily. Give me a simple Samsung with just a camera and im good. (I have the new T-Mobile Shadow and I hate it )
