I play COD daily and I have to say I hate Ghosts. I've never been a great player but I use to have a 1.4 K/D and I'd have my occasional 25-5 games. But I am absolutely awful at Ghosts. I go 5-18 every game getting shot in the back more than half the time. Am I alone in this?
COD fanatics tend to hate every new COD game for some reason. I had a similiar problem with Black Ops 2 (which everyone seems to love?). In Modern Warfare 3 the guns shot straight and true. In Black Ops assault rifles are almost worthless and the best players move like speedy little rabbits with SMGs that kill you from 500 feet before you can pull the trigger. Curious to try Ghosts, but reviews have been extremely mixed. A lot of the negativity i've read is because: A. Campaign is boring B. It's not revolutionary enough All I really look for is new graphics and fresh maps, and a game that everyone is playing so there's more targets for me online.
I got Ghosts alongisde my PS4 this Friday, and I am not really enjoying it much so far. I'm a good CoD player, my k/d was close to a 2.2 on black ops 2 (mainly played solo, would have easily been a 3 k/d if i played in parties a lot) , but on Ghosts, my k/d is only a 1.4. Granted, I haven't put much time into it, only around 6 hours, so I can still bring it back up to a 2 k/d. I hate how you die in 2 bullets. The game is laggy at times (where are those dedicated servers? BS, they don't exist) , HUGE maps, killstreaks aren't very powerful. I got the game for free with some left over Amazon promotional credit, but yeah, it's a decent game, but not as good / fun as Black Ops 2.
I like the feel of BF4 better than COD, but I am destroying folks on Ghosts PS4 .. long as I know the map. Whenever I get dropped in middle of a new map, or game, then thats when I have a blah game.
It's honestly time to move to Battlefield now. I never liked Battlefield that much but these string of COD games have been absolutely terrible. The developers continually ignore the big issues of each COD game and never seem to address them. Not going to spend another $60 on these ****ty games.
I have a sealed copy of BF4 (PS4) right now, and I would be playing it, however, my eyes are sensitive, and I wouldn't be able to play without it hurting my eyes (got the bf4 bundle, was the only one available on amazon). BF3 agitated my eyes, and I assume BF4 will also. It's a shame, but oh well, I can live without BF4. And yeah, black ops 2 was the last CoD game I am going to buy. Like I said, I paid nothing for Ghosts, but next fall with games like The Division, Uncharted 4, and Final Fantasy XV (hopefully) possibly releasing next Fall 2014, same time as the next CoD, I see no reason to buy another one.
I might buy this in a few months, but black ops 2 was horrendous. Battlefield games always suck. I'll probably have to wait a while before I get a new fps
I think FPS games like COD/BF/Killzone sales are starting to fall because there isn't much innovation lately and people are getting burned out by the same thing for the past 6-7 years. Maybe Titanfall will inject some new life into this genre. We'll see if it can be a successful full priced multiplayer only title. Everyone bashes the other FPS games for having a short or not so great campaign mode when multiplayer is where it's really at. For some reason, I have a feeling it's not going to be an issue for TF.
I'm just so bad and I can't figure out why. Anyone have any advice? Gun to use? how not to get shot in the back every 10 seconds?
I loved modern warfare 2( best one in my opinion). I was a great cod player, yeah I said it. Typical game was 20 plus and under 5 kills, as I mastered the Wa2000. Seems to me like games are going away from sniping, which bothers me. Sniping is fun as I love the long range gun battles against another sniper across the map, as well as picking off the guys who like to run around the levels and ambush other players. I never understood the people who would always run around with smg's. I hated dying and loved the games where I would drop the nuke FTW.
