I am no expert but the first one seems to be too cheap to be any good.

I bought mine for 150€. It is made by Philips (I think, I am not using it anymore) and it sucks. It's not really sharp and doesn't cut all that close to the skin. I regret that purchase but maybe I just got a bad one.

I have the previous model Braun that was made before this updated version came out.. I LOVE IT, the total cost of owner ship is much lower than buying Mach 3 blade refills and shaving cream.. My version is really built well and solid, the cut isn't quite as good as Mach3, but for me it's less irritating on my face.. The cleaning system is great too, I clean mine every few days and I can get about 2 1/2 months out of one refill..

For me the only negatives of the razor are it has some problems with my neck that I have to really work at to get all the hairs.. Also, the blade that you have to replace once a year is $40.00..

If mine ever goes out I'd replace it with the new Braun..

Norelco Advantage. Close shave, comes with the shaving lotion in it, and mine has lasted over a decade, going on 2, and I have only had to change the blades twice. I still use it every other day to shave with.

Well like I said, this specific razor has lasted me a decade and does a good job so I am very impressed with Norelco. I won't lie, the charge doesn't last as long and I have to charge it after each shave now but that's expected after so much time. I probably will be looking for a new razor soon and Braun is looking the best to me. I don't know if I want to spend that much but hey Christmas is on its way. :D

SwoLy here with a vote for Electrical Shavers. I like gettin' rid of the stub thingies until I can't cut no more if it's daily thing. Now, if I'm taking Mrs. SwoLy out on a romantic dinner, it's TRIPLE-BLADE RAZOR CITY and some cool after shave. Now IF the little misses (SwoLy daughters) say "Dad... ehh... you need to shave" then there's no waitin' for nothing. It's off to the shaver I go.

I have an el-cheap-o Braun low-quality shaver someone dun' gave me for Kwanzaa one time maybe 3 or four years ago and it still works. It has attachments for trimmin' mah beard.

I got this (in black) for like $19.99. I know it's terrible as far as giving a close shave, but that's what I like about it. I hate hate HATE when my face is completely smooth since it makes me look like I'm 15. So for my purpose, which is to leave just a little stubble behind, this is perfect.

I have a braun 8000 series and they save pretty closely. The greatest thing about them is that they come with an automatic cleaner.

They sell it at walmart next to all the other shaving stuff.

But the key is the Williams lectric pre shave lotion. It stands up the whiskers so you can get a smoother shave and the blade to your shaver will last longer because there is less drag.

Let me also recommend for only $35.00

I have that Braun, the one in the pic, and I really like it. Yeah, it's not quite as close as a blade, but the irritation is minimal.

In regards to 'Lectric Shave, and I bought a bottle and tried it once, and hated it...

FWIW - I never use anything other than a Fusion anymore...

With some of the aftershave gel... but I put it on a minute before, and then after. It's very effective.

Oh, and the number one tip, shave after a hot shower. And let the shower head spray on your face directly, as hot as you can stand it, just before getting out of the shower. Then shave.

    No nicks, no worries.

If you need an "after five" shaver... use the one with the lotion dispenser built in. Norelco I think?

Or just have a spare Fusion on hand and the time to look in a mirror at a sink. 3 minutes and you're smooth again.
