Any news, updates on our stars, what are they doing? Are they practicing? How is Yao's injury progressing? When will he go back to China? Does TMac do more treatment in Waco?... Thanks.
According to sina, he decides to have surgery to fix his shoulder injury. So he will not go back to China, but likely out for 6 months. Not sure how accurate that is.
I saw Yao at the Galleria with his girlfriend a couple weeks ago on a Saturday. I even took pictures on my cellphone in case I decided to make a thread about it. Then I never bothered. Also, I never bothered to put the pictures on my computer. So yeah....
Feigen looked into this and quoted from Yao's agent that Yao is not intending to have any surgery this offseason. So, it is not accurate. Yao will be fine for the start of next season. But, McGrady decided to have his leg amputated. It should take only two months to heal, so he's hoping to be healthy in time for training camp.
Oh I thought Tmac was going to have a back bone transplant so he'll have a new back when the season starts.
A girl in my office claims to have seen T-Mac playing softball with his boys in Pearland yesterday...
Well a few days ago I got an e-mail for Tracy (that's true). He wrote he's feeling great but he doesn't have much time cause he's workin' so hard every day to be better next season. Of course he's healthly and generally everything is great with him. He's going to go to India and Africa this summer (because of Adidas Tour). That's all I know. I don't know everything about Yao But it looks like everything is getting great. I can't wait until the season starts and until I can see Tracy and all the Rockets players runnin' the court in healthl. It would be great. Hopefoully we'll stay healthly and we get past the 1st round
I just hung out with Yao and Tracey last week at Yao's place (yup). His mom cooks really good chinese food. We played video games and some bball. He said, although it's challenging, he's going to lose some weight and play dominant his own way ('nuff said). Tmac also said next year's going to be year (where have we heard that?) and he's going all out. Sorry, I don't have any pictures though.
About a week ago, Yao and his GF were in Chicago. My friend saw them in a stop shop or something, he got Yao's signature, but Yao said no when made a request for taking a picture with him. Yao was visting Chicago doctors. Major Chinese news media including CCTV, Sina and Sports/Titan Weekly are reporting a shoulder surgery MIGHT be scheduled. Yao will be out for about 6 months if that surgery turns out to be true story. Team China officially anounced that Yao will not play the coming invitation games in Guangdong China. Personally, I guess "the shoulder surgery" is Yao's soft strategy to stay out of those friendly games this summer. Yao can not say "NO" to his home country, he has no choice. CBA/Chinese Basketball Association always puts Yao on the roster to sell tickets and collects big money from sponsors/Ads. I am not saying Team China does not need those games to prepare for next year's Olympic. But a tired and injured Yao can not help much. Morever, Yi is also the important part of the Olympic plan, he is in LA preparing for the draft day, so those games won't help chemistry or anything eslse. Conclusion: Relax guys, Yao's shoulder problem is that serious, but it will be reported serious the whole summer.
yao & tracy came over to my house to play NBA2k7 last night. I beat the crap out of tracy with the throwback 95 rockets but i kept losing to yao tracy wanted a rematch and i said only when he gets out of the 1st round.
ugh i know it's hard to believe but my parents are actually good friends with yao's family and yao/ming family and tracy came over to have dinner. tmac told me that stern is making him the next jordan and stuff and then we played a 2 on 1 game (against me) and i facialed both tmac and yao and won the game 29 to 8. i know it's believable but i don't have pix just trust me
I chatted with Yao last night in WOW.. after I gave him some coin he told me that he is gonna eat children this coming season. He also says he schools Tmac in NBA 2k7 using Tmac.
Don't second-guess Yao Ming's loyalty to his country and the national team. And if his shoulder injury is not that serious, why do you think he needs to do all those travelling, including to Chicago, for seeking second opinions from specialists whether he should take surgery or not ? And according to all the reports/articles from major Chinese websites, his shoulder injury is very serious. It is about problems with his articular cartilage on his shoulder; articular cartilage is a tough, elastic tissue that covers the ends of bones in joints and enables the bones to move smoothly over one another. His articular cartilage is partially damaged and detached, which caused the bones to rub directly against each other and resulting in him feeling pain and reduced his mobility. He had tried to avoid surgery, which would mean sidelining him for 6 months; he initially thought about taking some conservative methods for healing; the doctors were also hesitant in proceeding with the surgery; therefore, Yao Ming had been doing alot of travelling in the past weeks, looking for second opinions from specialists; that included his trip to Chicago. But now the words are out that he will need to take the surgery so as to mend the articular cartilage, and nail it back to the shoulder blade, as well as mending some of the torn muscle there on his shoulder. Having followed Yao Ming for all these years, just don't think he is this type of person to adopt such "soft" strategy so as to shrink from playing for the national team.
