It would be great if he has progressed by now. His athleticism at the 4 may be useful.. I know, alot of wishful thinking but i need to keep my hopes up.
Go down to the video store and rent "Angel and the Badman" to satisfy your "Badman" cravings. John Wayne may be dead, but the original "Badman" has about as much chance of making the team as the current "Badman."
Right now he is on the Senegal National Team. They are practicing for the upcoming FIBA World Championships, which they won their into by placing second to Angola on the African continent. As a matter-of-fact they are in our group, so we will probably see him play against the US team. He has progressed every year, but is still only 22 and may not be ready for the NBA if he ever is. This is not verifiable, but IMO this is why he was not in the Summer League recently. I would prefer him to be on our roster learning from Deke than learning big-man Euro-ball, but the Rockets don't ask my advice anymore.
Here's the latest news on Badiane.. As of Saturday July 15, 2006 at 10:02 a.m., Malick Badiane sucks.
Badman played on our SL team once if he plays again (being a 2nd rd pick) i believe he is guaranteed a roster spot... and he isnt as advanced as the team would like him to be right now
