I need a new bike (full suspension) any advise? I've been looking at a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR 100 and a Gary Fisher Sugar 293...I don't know much about the GF....any help?

I'm not a fan of full suspension - too heavy and the rear shock kills any bunnyhopping you might like to do on the trails or street.

Trek 8500 is my top choice.

Gary Fisher makes a good bike....but you can't go wrong with the Stumpjumper. Out of curiosity, why do you need a full suspension? Are you doing much downhill? Full suspension bikes are less rigid, and yield less power, especially when climbing. Something to keep in mind, if you didn't already know.

Alternatively, check into Giant, Trek, and Klein.

I've had a few bikes (mostly hardtails) I have a trek Fuel 80 right now and that thing weighs a ton...I'm going to put it on ebay for $850 (it cost $1300)
I'm leaning towards the Stumpjumper which is $2600. I'm moving to the northeast next year so I wanted to get a good XC before then.
