i decided to rent out two rooms in my house for about 5 months or one semester (i live in a college town). so far, i've got this goofy german foreign student interested. he seems cool, but he's still a college kid. what are german's like? what's your experience with live-in tenants? i've never actually lived with anyone that's not either a friend or an ex-gf. anything i should know, like set laundry days, no loud music after 2am or hide my beer?
Wasn't Hitler Austrian? Regardless of the nationality, I would lay down some rules with the tenant right from the start - things such as who's responsible for cleaning up public areas (living room, kitchen, bathrooms), acceptable noise levels, visitors, etc.
