Does anyone know the best way to go about getting tickets for
the allstar game? Have they even gone on sale yet, or will they
even go on sale at a place like ticketmaster, or will I have to
pay an ish load of cash through a sheisty ticket broker!?!

Tickets will not go on sale. They will never go on sale. The only way to get tickets is to have full season tickets. If you don't have full season tickets you'll be calling a broker, and paying out your ass.

The broker I saw on the 'net had them priced starting at $500 for upper deck seats.

i was under the impression that only sponsors and "guests" could get tickets to the all star game, and that even season ticket holders aren't given a seat. this is why cuban said he wouldn't bring a game to dallas.

there's a limited number of seats the NBA will return to the franchise with which to offer to their season ticket base. i'm not sure what that number is and how it compares to the number of season ticket holders we have - but in every other all star game i've attended - the number returned is less than the season ticket holder base.

the majority of the lower bowl is NBA sponsors, guests and media.

Yaomania is right. It depends on how many seats we actually get. It could be as many as 4,000 seats, and in that case we should be able to handle just about everybody. Gummi, you do not need to contact anyone. We will contact you once we know how things are going to go down. That won't be until late Nov. or even Dec.

from what I remember in Denver & Atlanta is that the number didn't even get revealed to the franchise until mid-January.

I'm not sure about LA - it was more complicated I'm sure with dual hosting teams.
