I just finished my scuba certification this weekend, and was wondering if any of you guys know some cool places to go diving in the area. I got most of my gear, but if anyone is selling a BC I'm still in the market.
I'm planning on getting certified this summer, if I have the time. A few of my friends are certified (they do offshore rig work & had to do it for their jobs) & go diving all the time. The problem w/ Texas is that the tidal plane has a very gradual slope, so you've go to spend about 6-8 hours or so just going out to deep water. The best place around here is called the Flower Garden, any dive shop or offshore outfitter could tell you much more than I could.
