Just asking since the anniversary special is on right now on NBC. He's one of my favorite funny guys, whatever that category is. The show's been pretty funny so far. I'm not the only one that's watching this, like Conan usually says, am I?
have it on the game. I love the sketch stuff on Conan, but hate the interviews. The monologues are usually blah too. I know it's a "talk" show, but it'd be so much cooler if they cut it down to 1 or 2 interviewees per show, and make it interesting people, not just some bore who wants to promote some ****ty movie. Also, the so-obvious pre-scripted interviews often make me want to gag. I dig the daily show.
I love it. I watch his show every night. He's a great commedian. He's my favorite late-night host. He has the best immitations also.
It was great, and that one flashback with Jennifer Garner in that black dress had me drooling. It was good to see Triumph and Pimpbot again.
I laughed my ass off the entire show(except for the Jack Black bit which was good, but not great). I know the critics have warmed up to his act and he now has a loyal fanbase, but Conan still doesn't get the love and respect he deserves IMO. Of course, it's probably better that he doesn't get too much press. What happens if one of the networks wants him for the 11:30 PM ET slot? Then he'll be ruined. Triumph and the Masturbating Bear will never be allowed at that hour.
No Camel Toe Annie and no Jimmy the Crab. "I'm smoking a cigarette. You know why that's funny? 'Cause I'm a crab. I sometimes even like to get high."
The best thing that I can say about Conan, is that he is better than Leno. Unfortunately, that is like being smarter than the kid that craps his pants and eats crayons in grade school.
Crap...it's 3 AM and I just realized I missed it. Maybe Comedy Central will rerun it. (^Remember Holden?)
Actually, it goes: Letterman Stewart Kilbourn Conan ... getting beaten to death with a rotting baboon carcass ... Leno IMO, of course.
I loved the special. There were very few bits that didn't work on me. Conan is an idol of mine. His style of making fun of himself works on me every time.
Man, there are some fans. I thought I was just going to be like Conan and get some pity posts from those watching the game. The special was hilarious IMO. I try to watch as much of the show as I can, but due to it being on late, I hardly got the chance. (mainly why I love Comedy Central for replaying the shows early.) I had forgotten some of the funny skits. I don't know why, but the one with the dog shooting the guy in the suit was hilarious to me...then and now. I too love the way he kind of adlibs and makes fun of himself. I think that's what hooked me to the show since it was different. As for the late night shows, I only really watch Conan so that's my rankings. I actually used to watch Leno and "enjoy" it, but then I realized Conan was like 10000000000^10 times better. According to my TV's guide, no, not my TV guide, the show wil re-air on Comedy Central at 7:30 tonight. About 30 minutes I can rewatch before I tune in to the Cowboys...who will also probably be making fun of themselves.
