Has anyone thought about that? I mean I heard that it's gonna be damn hot over there in April, not to mention those secret weapons.

Or maybe it's just my crazy imagination.

What is the stat I heard the other day...something like the American military is better than the next 25 biggest armies in the world combined. Something absurd like that....so no we won't lose militarily. However, if we are attacked with chem and bio weapons and sustain a large number of casualities we could lose this war politically in America.

If we are attacked by Chemical or Bio weapons it will prove W was correct about their existanse. Granted it would be a bad thing but ultimately that would prove to the world that W is right and would rally the world around us again.

The worse thing politically (IMO) is if tons of inncoent Iraqis are killed and there are nos signe of WMD. I am all for W, but that IMO is the worst case scenario.

You can always lose a war. Rome thought they'd last forever & the ewoks beat the **** outta the Imperal troops, so anything is possible....just not likely

Militarily, there is no way the US would lose the war. Sadam is a goner.

Politically, this war could be a disaster if American or civilian casualty is high.

    excerpt:

What if the Iraqi army – instead of making itself an easy target for the U.S. missiles – melts into urban centers and begins coordinating with an armed civilian population to resist a foreign invasion of their homeland? What if the Iraqi people choose to fight the American invaders, rather than shower them with rose petals? Already, Saddam Hussein has begun to implement just such a strategy, concentrating his troops in urban centers and passing out AK-47s to Iraqis, young and old, men and women.

What if U.S. combat infantry forces, which may number only about 10 percent of the total U.S. military personnel in the region, find themselves entering urban strongholds against an enemy that is numerically superior, knows the battlefield and is aided by civilian militias?

As one savvy U.S. military strategists told us, “All those guys sitting off on battleships add to your numbers, but they don’t help you on the ground. There you’ll have about 20,000 infantrymen. They'll be outnumbered.”

I'm guessing if the Iraqis use chemical weapons to kill thousands of our troops, the public over here won't be saying at least Bush was right, they're going to be pissed that the troops are dead.

Maybe maybe not. After Pearl Harbor the public should be decrying the truly monumental intelligence failure as well. Large American casualties from chemical attacks might actually amplify the "rally around the flag" effect.

Or they could say, how did they not see that the Iraqis would do this, and if they did, why would they send our troops in there like that.

err um ya, I'll go with the latter. I'm not a big fan of fighting this war, but to even suggest that the finest fighting force that the world has ever known could even be tested in open combat by IRAQ is an insult to the USMC, ARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE, and even pisses off the COAST GUARD. You better hope no Marine hears even think that ****! Besides worst case scenario is that if casualties get too high we pull out our soldiers and turn Saddam's back yard into a think sheet of GLASS!
Like I said I didn't want to see it come to this, but if we're fighting, I'm behind the troops 100%. KICK MUCHO A$$ boys and come home soon!

The ex-military talking heads appear to be only concerned about the chemical WMD. I guess the military intell leads them to be not that concerned with the bio and nukulur WMD???

You never know. Everyone is vulnerable. I mean all you have to do is look at the flu in toronto and Asia. People are dead. We don't know why. What if Iraq was able to harnass that power? All it takes is one bright individual to change the course of history. And I think we should all remember that.

But IRaq is in a no win situation. If they are capable of beating us (or doing major damage) it proves that we were correct and the world unites against them. If they are incapable of defeating us then we win.

I'm not all that concerned about how our overseas military fares. I'm much more concerned about how the homeland security portion of our military fares. Especially now that portions of the Arab World will feel that we've declared war on Islam.

Some comedian on BET last night echoed your exact sentiments. "uhhmm, who'd they leave to guard us." Then he went off on the reserves. Too funny.

When you think about it, the Storm Trooper didn't have a chance on Endor's moon. I mean, c'mon...AT-ST walkers in a FOREST with logs and rocks?? How about something with wheels, dumbasses...
