Tip-in: Veteran guard Eddie Jones didn't officially play due to acoach's decision, but has agreed to a contract buyout with the team. The Griz could waive Jones as soon as today, and reportedly will signformer Washington guard Will Conroy to a 10-day contract. Conroy, whoplayed for NBDL's Tulsa 66ers, told a Seattle paper Monday that he washeaded for Memphis.

I doubt it. I think there is a high chance Eddie Jones goes to Miami.

we have too many 2 guards or swingman, t-mac, bonzi, shane, Snyder, we need a decent PG, back up center, PF with quickness and size.

Everything he does - Shane already provides for our team...only better and done more in the flow of our system.

    So...no.

1 or 2 years ago I would have killed to have EJ or Finley. If T-Mac was still missing games on a regular basis I would say yes. But there just isnt room at the moment.

The only way I see any sense in pursuing Eddie Jones is if we intend to trade one or more of our 2/3's. If we had some deal in place involving Bonzi or Snyder or both, then it might possibly make sense. Otherwise, I agree with the above posters. His position is not one of need.

Yeah... I'm going to agree with everyone else. We need a solid backup distributor PG or a serviceable big man to play the PF/C.

reports have him going to miami. plus, don't we have too many guards as it is?

let's keep an eye out for some bigs.

Everyone says we have too many guys playing 2 guard, but when you really analyze it, we have...

    Tracy - no comment needed
    Luther - undersized
Kirk - coming off broken wrist, possibly in dog house?
    Bonzi - still in limbo
Shane - primarily plays small forward

In reality, we have 1 "real" SG that is actually dependable (Tracy), and then again he has the back issue. For the veteran minimum, I don't see any reason NOT to take a chance on adding Eddie Jones to the mix. He's not as washed up as some people make him out to be...not for the minimum.

Even though we have a logjam in the backcourt, I could see the Rockets going after him because he's a JVG guy - excellent defender, steady and savvy.
