Whew!!! Thanks for the response Jack I know the average age on this BBS is like 16, but I knew there were a few of us old timers hangin around that would enjoy this.
“I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'” Bob Newhart Those old shows are classic.
that guy was brilliant. the dry wit is legendary. he used to do ads for the yellow pages back in the mid-90's that were hysterical. great show.
Oh, lord, that was funny! One of the best sitcoms ever. Period. Look at the clothes! What a riot! I was in love with Suzanne Pleshette for the duration of the series, lol. Thanks a ton, Bob*... now I have to buy it on DVD. I've forgotten how many seasons it ran, but it was truly must see TV.
He's still alive. I've liked just about everything I've ever seen him do or heard him od in the case of some comedy routines.
I always loved the old Bob Newhart Show as a kid. And the later Newhart was also usually pretty funny.
Hilarious. Both shows were great, I used to watch repeats of the original back in the late 90s but haven't seen them for a few years. I'm always thisclose to buying a DVD of the show any time I'm in that section at Wal-Mart or Best Buy but never seem to pull the trigger.
Greatest sitcom ending ever was the end of the later series when he woke up in bed with Suzanne Plachette and said he had the wierdest dream that he owned an inn in Vermont. Pure genius. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/voL34bfqXTM"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/voL34bfqXTM" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
