Another example of "It's not how much you make, but how much you keep". One player will bring home millions and blow it all after retirement. Another player that makes less money can be straight for life with the small businesses and investments that are made.
A pity how His career ended. He seemed to have just fallen from the NBA without nobody noticing it. And now this.
I was flipping through the channels the other day and I swear I saw The Chucker on one of those "Pro's vs. Joe's" type of shows or something. I guess his searching for work makes sense now.
He was playing 3 on 3 in Pros vs. Joes not too long ago. Robert Horry and Alonzo Mourning were his teammates. The Joes jumped out to a lead, but the Pros won by throwing it to Mourning every time and getting dunks, layups, and fouls. I think I did see Walker make a 3 though.
What pity? He played 12 years, won a ring and his last contract was for 9M a year. Only pity is his gambling problem, to bounce checks may mean you're broke or you were stupid enough to think that a gambling debt is not legit and you could pay it in monopoly money.
