Hey I need your opinions on antivirus software. I am currently looking at these three:

    Norton AntiVirus 2003

    Panda Antivirus Titanium

    McAfee

What are your opinions on antivirus software?

I am running Windows XP by the way.

Norton and Eset Nod consistently rank among the best. On the downside, Norton is a bit bloated. McAfee has sucked ever since Network Associates took them over. I don't know, they may have improved recently. Windows XP is covered fairly well by many anti-virus companies, so you should have quite a few choices.

I use Norton and Eset Nod.

Other good ones for the Windows XP platform : Norman Antivirus and Sophos. F-prot is so-so.

Of course no virus scanner is too good if you don't keep your virus defs up-to-date.

I'd have to second this. It's all I use at work.

I've actually seen Trend catch some things that Norton missed.

I've also been using Command Antivirus, they are so good so far.

I used to use Mcafee and they were decent also.

I don't think it matters too much what you have as long as you keep it updated.

I use the AVG free virus scanner myself. It works just as well as any other virus scanner out there.
