Now, before i continue, i must admit that i did not see many t-wolves games last year, but in the few games that i did see, i was impressed by Peelers overall play, especially his defense. If i recall, he did a pretty impressive job on guarding Kobe Bryant in Playoffs. He has been waived by the Bucks because their roster is full. I think we should consider picking him up, as our backup guard. If i'm not mistaken, if the Rockets claim him off waivers whilst still in contract, the rockets don't have to pay the salary, but rather the bucks. does anyone know if that is the case. i think we could make way for him on the roster.

Sorry, you're mistaken. If any team claims him on waivers, they are on the hook for the remainder of his contract.

If he clears waivers, he is free to sign with any team for any amount, regardless of his original contract. His new team in that latter case is on the hook only for the new amount, not the old amount.

thanks mfclark for clarifying that. If thats the case, it would be interesting to see how much he is making, and if it is not considerable, then i think he would be a good option, as backup guard, or if it is too much, maybe we wait till he clears waivers.

Peeler had a buyout provision in his contract, the Bucks (as expected) exercised it. He clears waivers in 3 days I believe. Peeler, Cheney, Barry..... lets just get someone at guard over 25 yrs old.

I am all for bringing in Anthony Peeler. Just gives us another option behind Cuttino. Sounds like a great idea.
