I have not seen this posted before. Would the Rockets be interested in picking him up. MILWAUKEE, July 8 (UPI) -- The Milwaukee Bucks have waived veteran guard Anthony Peeler, who was acquired in a four-player trade with Minnesota on June 27. The Bucks acquired Peeler and forward Joe Smith from the Timberwolves for guard Cassell and center Ervin Johnson. Milwaukee had no intention of keeping Peeler and made the deal to clear up their point guard situation after selecting point guard T.J. Ford in last month's draft. Peeler, 33, has averaged 10.4 points in 712 NBA games over 11 seasons and is Minnesota's all-time leader in three-pointers with 465.
I posted this about a week ago. Actually, I posted a preliminary report that Mil had no intent of keeping him, not the actual article saying they let him go. Consensus is that Peeler would be a fine addition to the team. Good defensive player, competent perimter shooter. I'll take him or Ollie.
Thanks Rileydog. Even though Peeler is a bit old, he still have 2 good years left in him. He had good playoff games and is a veteran guard that we can use.
