    I don't have a 21-disc CD player, but if I did:

About A Boy Soundtrack -- Badly Drawn Boy
    13 -- Blur
    The Best Of -- Blur
    Parachutes -- Coldplay
    Let Go -- Avril Lavigne
    Daybreaker -- Beth Orton
    Original Soundtracks 1 -- Passengers
Heroes and Villains -- Powerpuff Girls
    Dig Me Out -- Sleather-Kinney
    One Beat -- Sleater-Kinney
    Copper Blue -- Sugar
File Under: Easy Listening -- Sugar
    Besides -- Sugar
De Stijl -- The White Stripes
White Blood Cells -- The White Stripes
This Year's Model -- Elvis Costello
    Dummy -- Portishead
    Portishead -- Portishead
    Emperor Tomato Ketchup -- Stereolab
Candy Apple Grey -- Hüsker Dü
Our Time In Eden -- 10,000 Maniacs

How does Coldplay's new album compare to Parachutes? Also, isn't there some rule against listening to Blur and Oasis together?

It is really good. You can almost look at it like this:

Parachutes is to Coldplay what The Bends is to Radiohead, and A Rush of Blood to the Head is to Coldplay what OK Computer is to Radiohead.

I'm not saying that A Rush of Blood to the Head is as good or better than OK Computer, but I do think it is better than Parachutes (and that is saying something). The first 5 tracks are awesome, especially "The Scientist".

I guess you can tell I have a theme going on....British rock.

I just found The White Album demos by the Beatles and they are soooo good. Do you ever fall in love again with the same band? I do that over and over again with the Beatles. What a miracle they were! These demos are acoustic and have all sorts of neat touches- harmonies, guitar leads- that didn't make it on the final album. Even late in their time together they still sound so joyous and happy together.

Staying on the Dad Rock tip, I have also been really enjoying the remastered cds coming out from the Rolling Stones 60's catalog. I am not necessarily an audiophile, but you really can tell the difference with these songs. I am listening a lot to "Between the Buttons," one of my all time favorite albums. There are a few songs that didn't make it on the first round of US cd versions that are included here and they are really cool.

Otherwise, I am still soaking up the new Supergrass album, (and wondering why they aren't playing the Grand Canyon and running the world), "Love and Theft," the new Beachwood Sparks cd, Beck's "Sea Change" (sad and elegant album) and bits of the Thievery Corporation and Godspeed! You Black Emperor I have found on the web.

By the way Manny and Kimble, there are widespread reports that Graham Coxon has left Blur...suckage! My favorite guitarist right now...very Robert Fripp and punk at the same time. The band is finishing up the new record without him in Morocco with Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) producing. Hope the original four patch things up.

That is known as the "Black Album". Fantastic stuff indeed. It is amazing to hear just how talented the Beatles were even without all the studio gimmicks.

If only there were a radio station that would play Less than Jake 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We all have our dreams, don't we?

Losing Streak and Hello Rockview are my only 2 albums by them, but I will get Pezcore sometime next month.

I love the song "Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts".

    Have you searched here?

    http://www.live365.com/index.live

Someone may have set up a station that plays only Less Than Jake songs. Or you could set up your own.
