This scenario could happen based on this season.

    Pretty simple poll.

    win of course!
A 30 ppg Tmac and lose will make him a loser as well as he is now.
Tinman may I hope that rockets wins with T-Mac playing? :D

Neither will happen unless we can find some dumb GM to give us a playmaker in return for Mcgrady.

maybe this guy, cause when playoffs really matter he doesn't care about winning, only points.

Iverson, Dirk, Parker, those guys made the finals. I guess they aren't in the same league as Tmac either.

this is suppose to be a hard decision.
i don't want to make it easy for some people.

Jeff Van Gundy led the Knicks to Finals when Ewing was hurt.
So our highest paid player could be hurt and we could go far too.

I get your point Tinman....but the point is nobody wants the Rockets to lose for Tmac's glory. I think we have a decent shot at winning if Tmac gets 30ppg. I think we have better shot if we have a solid team effort. So I think the issue is do we want to have Tmac do well and have a 25% chance at winning in the first round but we can say we are using everything we have or have 75% chance of winning with a 20 million dollar DNP. Seems simple enough but here is the thing... you never want to run a business where a thrid of your investment is trash. It is embarassing and a handicap on the org. You win one round and maybe you have a rejuved Tmac and a Rocket team clicking and rolling in the second round. Without Tmac...well you have an improved roster that might be good enough to win another round (I belive last year's team was good enough to win one round if you add this year's wafer, and brooks). Have Tmac do well and you have a small chance to win it all or have no Tmac and most assuredly get past round one... but really don't give yourself a chance against the best. No other team in the Semis will have that big of a handicap.
Tmac avg 30 and we probably bounce in the first round- have a title shot.
Tmac DNP and we probably bounce in second round- no title shot.
Second option we will most assuredly rid Tmac and upgrade to a different weapon.
First option we try to reload the same damn gun.
Tinman- why don't you clone a 24 year old Dream with 32 year old Dream's knowledge?

Real fans would be willing to sacrifice Tracy at midnight if it meant getting past the first round.

As much as I would like to see Tracy play well again, it's not about individual successes anymore with such a stacked/talented team. The Rockets advancing in the playoffs is an obvious priority to any real fan.

    you know my point.

When Drexler or Chuck came to town, nobody made dumb excuses for them. if they played great, great, if not, not.

If Barkley stunk, nobody on the board will pull this Barkley dropped 56 points on the Warriors stat

but not for you know who...

Nobody would have had the guts to actually vote for choice #2 then.

As it stands right now there's two geniuses who would rather throw the rest of the team off the cliff for one guy.

So far it is 6 percent that prefer the option of Tmac scoring. That's versus the option where he doesn't play, not an option of him playing and performing badly. So considering the other awful alternative, 6% is pretty low for this so called "group of fans". That 6% is a minority. What's next, you're going to go out and insult a racial minority?
