In the spirit of this annoying season I'd like to unload some mini-rants. Feel free to join me. Things that annoy me at the moment: 1) Holiday music played constantly. I don't mind it, until it's on 24/7. Then I want to barf. 2) People who drive enormous trucks for absolutely no reason whatsoever. This will always be very high on my list of annoying things. 3) Anything associated with our crummy health care system. I would rather be hit in the nuts with a 2x4 then have to deal with "X claim associated with Y provider, who billed me too much, but who has hired a legion of utter r****ds to run their billing department, making it impossible to understand what happened where, while my supposed insurance company laughs at my misery." 4) People who refuse to put down their cell phones, regardless of the activity being attempted. 5) That guy on the highway who feels the need to speed around everyone else in a reckless manner to gain one ****ing car length in heavy traffic. I think these people all tend to migrate to texas and I hate them. 6) The city of Lake Charles. 7) The construction around Beaumont on I-10. I swear it's never ending. It must be a scam to keep that pathetic corner of texas employed. They are building this enormous overpass in Vidor. Granted, going over and avoiding Vidor is an honorable pursuit, but is this really necessary? It's Vidor, for chrissakes. How long are we going to have to put up with the "Beaumont I-10 building marathon"? 8) People who care about courthouse displays. Get a life - all of you.
Most of my annoyances emanate from one person... This guy at work, his name is Jake. He's a Spurs fan. He argues for no reason, except to argue and prolong interacting with people. He ignores peoples feelings/opinions when they interfere with his. He's a gossiping w****. He can dish it, but he can't take it. And he's a social leech. I'm sure there are some other traits that absolutely bug the everliving crap out of me... but those are the ones from the top of my head.
Motorcyclists... all of them. Research Papers Stuck-up rich girls Dorm-mates who think it's cool to randomly start playing the guitar at 3 am
1. The f***ing Jets and Brett f***ing Favre. (http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=158504 2. The new person in our office. It's not really her fault. She was brought in for a newly created position with no thought or planning as to what she will do and how she will do it. For some reason, though, she deems it necessary to only ask me what she should be doing. I am not her boss. No, it's no thing like that, either. Get your mind out of the gutter. 3. Holiday music. It's only Dec 3 and I think my ears were bleeding yesterday. 4. The f***ing Jets and Brett f***ing Favre. 5. My fellow teammates who talked me out of picking Cleveland last week and into picking the f***ing Jets and Brett f***ing Favre.
Lucky for you, the sucktacularity of Lake Charles does not necessarily imprint itself upon those born within its putrid confines. I'll nominate MoBalls Carpentry. That guy refuses service to little old white ladies. What a negative douche!
Wow. So you don't like me? Here is my rant coming from a motorcyclist. - People in cars that assume that motorcycles can stop on a dime and just pull out right in front of them. I had to lay my bike down or else kiss someones license plate and yes I was driving safe. People that lock you in on the freeway and play games with someone elses life. Listen, I enjoy riding my motorcycle and consider it a primary means for transportation. If you want to see a completely different side of me, then see how I act after you play with my life. People that tailgate a motorcyclist. Especially people talking on their cell phone or putting on makeup. Anybody who flagrantly runs stop lights. Yes, I've seen that too. There is no doubt that there is a God, as I am still alive. Not because of how I ride, but these close calls. If you wonder sometimes why motorcyclists insist on being in front of people it is to get out of their way. You'd be surprised at how many people don't pay attention or swerve around as if they're drunk. Yes there are idiot motorcyclists too, but not ALL of them. [/rant]
Why are you people complaining about Christmas music? If you hate is so much listen to CDs or change the station. I personally like Christmas music 24/7. Maybe it's because I'm not scrooge.
That would be the most awesomest thing ever - to walk into the offices of some random department/grocery/whatever store and change their radio station/cd and then just walk right back out and resume shopping. I might go try that this year... Maybe I'll warm up by walking into a friend's house or getting in a friend's car and changing their radio/cd first. That should build my confidence! #1 on my christmas playlist is CKY - Santa's Coming.
This is my annoyance with Motorcyclists: They're EXTREMELY hard to see. When I know there's one behind or beside me.. I get so paranoyed about where they are because sometimes you just can't see them. About half of them I encounter think they're superior to every other car on the road.. so they weave in and out of everybody, run red lights, etc. And I can't tell you how many people that I know personally that have been proclaimed "lucky to be alive" after they wrecked they're motorcycle. I've also lost a relative to a motorcycle accident. That's just not cool with me. I think they're unnecessarily dangerous.
People who let political differences overshadow family relationships and/or friendships. It hasn't happened to me personally, but I know several people who are on non-speaking terms with family members because of the last election. Can you imagine?? Seriously, life is too short to let this kind of nonsense come between people who (are supposed to) care about each other. Having to talk to tech support in India for 20 minutes before they finally decide to send someone up (who is located on the floor below me!) to fix a problem on my computer. Yes, I've tried rebooting, just send someone up here, mmmkay? THANK YOU. Christmas causing family drama. Seriously, just be nice to each other for a few hours. Is that so hard? Peole who don't like Christmas music. Come on, man. Where's your Christmas spirit? I could start a whole 'nuther thread on Houston traffic....
People who have a basket full of items and use the self-checkout lines at stores. People who do not know how to use the self-checkout lines at stores. A combination of the above two people. People who gather in the middle of an aisle, walkway, path, etc. in a store, mall, etc. and stop to have a 30 minute conversation blocking and slowing everybody else down. When there is a specialty item, heck any item, on a buffet and one person takes their plate and loads it with that item ensuring nobody gets any or has to wait for more of it to be brought out when another person does the exact same thing so by the time the item is where you can get it you're full. People who do not control their children in public places. People who always believe they are right. People put into positions of power who abuse that power (supervisors, police, politicians, etc.). People who got to restaurants that they have been to thousands of times and take 30 minutes to order. I'm not talking about places where you order from a waiter, I'm talking about McDonald's, Burger King, etc. I'll have more, just wait.....
9) People who still use checks at the grocery store. 10) Dallas. 11) Any store that wants to check your reciept and poke around in your bags before you leave. 12) Dallas.
I would agree that you have come across some idiots. They're hard to see, but that's not the fault of the motorcyclist. There have been motorcyclists in my blindspot that honked or raged by me, because I didn't see them. Most try to stay out of the blind spot. At least the experienced ones do. Motorcyclists that consider themselves superior are usually the ones that have the worst accidents. I don't weave in and out and run red lights. That's just stupid. Motorcycles are not unnecessarily dangerous. They are motorcyles. The cyclists can be idiots as those mentioned above. They can put themselves in harm's way if they choose. I don't have close calls all the time. I wish some didn't drive like they do, but there are just as many crazy auto drivers out there. They just don't draw attention as much as some of the motorcycles. I wouldn't hate them all, because of the misguided few. I'm sorry for your loss.
