"24 High" is a defensive play run against Denver's power forward, #24. The translation is: "Antonio McDyess is going up high. Please. Stop him." ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET

I thought it meant lets let #24 go fo a season high......... ------------------ "It's incredible to see how he [Mobley] can beat his guy one-on-one every time. That is a tremendous talent. The combination of Steve and Cuttino, I think, is wonderful in the backcourt." --the Dream
As a guess, I would say that it means the 2 guard ISO on the weak side with the "4" on the baseline of the strong side. When the 2 guard gets by his man and the 4's man has to slide to help pick him up, our 4 flashes to the hoop. How is that? DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from Monkeys and Apes, then why are there still Monkeys and apes?
How can you ISO on the weak side? I always thought the strong side was the side with the ball-handler. I could be wrong. Anyway, I like Clutch's definition. ------------------ I don't want to achieve immortality through my work... I want to achieve immortality by not dying. - Woody Allen
Some kind of two man game with the 2 and the 4.... prolly pick and roll or pick and fade... but this coming from a guy who has only seen one Rockets game all year (and that was the game against the Celtics, yuck) Tried to go catch the game against the Nuggets last night up here in dallas, but they don't have a dish at the ESPN Classic bar or whatever... go figure... ------------------
Hydra...correct. 24 High is used to get the SG to the middle. Francis can be the 2 and apparently is allowed to choose to use the pick to get to the wing, as Rudy made this call right before a Francis/KT pnr where he did just that. The Francis/Bullard version is what killed Miami last year when Riley wouldn't guard Bullard. The classic 24 High is Mobley/Bullard or Mobley/Collier to get Mobley to the middle at the free throw line if they don't switch. This is what killed Indiana after "The Timeout". We haven't seen much Mobley/Mo, but have seen KT.
Why does Francis always go baseline, but Mobes can go to the middle? If Steve would just get to the middle more, I really think he could get more assists. And why not have Mo as the roller? Are KT and Collier the only ones that are good at it?
DaDakota, nope, that's 2 Shakes. You are describing a cutter response to a defensive rotation in 2 Shakes. Which is pretty much the only option in two shakes...hehe.
I would guess a high pick and roll with the SG and PF. ------------------ Don't come in Bullard's house!
