CNN) -- A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck Turkey early Monday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said. There were no immediate reports of injuries, deaths or damage. The earthquake's epicenter was in eastern Turkey, 45 kilometers (28 miles) west of the town of Bingol, and 625 kilometers (388 miles) east of Ankara, the country's capital. The earthquake struck at 4:32 a.m. at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), the USGS said. link
5.9 is pretty pansy compared to the Haiti and Chile (which was insane) earthquakes. Keep in mind it is an exponential scale.
Is there such a thing as a domino effect with earthquakes? The Chilean one was so powerful that I half expected it to affect other fault lines in other regions of the world and maybe cause earthquakes elsewhere
