Well Legler is calling for Suns over the Rockets for the 8th spot on tonight's SportsCenter. He thinks that Marion, Marbury and Stoudemire can all go for 30 on any given night (Amare? He's good but on ANY given night?) while Steve and Mobley will freeze Yao out down the stretch. Why is Tim on my TV, and why don't I hit the mute button? I guess it's like a car wreck, you know you should look away but you just can't.

It's just opinions...just another "expert" (Legler referred to himself as an 'expert' once on Sportscenter) whose mouth Yao and the Rockets will put some duct tape on by the end of the season.

Well.. it's not like it would be interesting tv if it weren't point-counterpoint driven.

I don't know Timmay's personal opinion, but whether or not this is how he truly feels, he wasn't going to be able to go with the Rox over the Suns merely because there always has to be someone to play devil's advocate, otherwise you'd never hear the otherside of the story (kind of like the dilemma in the media today)

but yeah, Roxs will beat out the Suns =]

You people are too damn sensitive. Legler was one of the few in early November that thought stuck by Yao despite his early struggles.

I get so irritated to listening to him.. he really doesn't like the Rockets.. the rox have won the last 7-10 games.. however, the suns have been on a slide.. he should at least give the rox SOME credit.. maybe say there will be a fight to the finish, and no team is a lock.. rather he chooses to make sure that is is the Suns who will make it to the playoffs! And, I have no doubt that if the Rockets DO make it, he will come up with some excuse of WHY they made it.
I don't know about the ESPN folk.

So you are the guy that always pisses me off in traffic. It's a wreck, it happens, you can stop on the side of the road and look all you want, but when you're on the highway get your ass moving!

Come on. We've seen people eat their words over Yao, so we should be glad that we'll see the same thing about us making the playoffs over the Suns.

PLEASE. This was EASILY the Suns 2nd most winnable game of the rest of the season, after Home vs Denver.

We went to 2-3 on a roadtrip where 1-4 was a success, and 0-5 was predicted by a lrage part of the fans.

We need to go .500 to make the playoffs, which os BELOW our current record. That means we can actually play worse and make the playoffs.

    Think about it.

Actually, Timmah is a bandwagon hopper. When it was cool to make fun of Ming, that's just what he did. When people started lavishing praise on Ming, thats just what Timmah did as well.

Usually I like to see people eat their words, but if the rocks make the playoffs I hope leggy just shuts up.

    Timmah is a tool.

Tim and Steve are having a tiff over not passing the ball to Yao.

It is just Tim getting back at Steve.

NBA2Nite analysts Tim Leglar and Fred Carter have a friendly wager on who will end up with the 8th seed in the West Playoffs. Carter thinks the Rockets will get it. Tim thinks the Suns will get it. Expect them to defend their positions until the seed is locked in. Just point/counterpoint. Nothing to get all worked up over.

I think Tim's position is not as much of what the Suns can DO to claim the spot as much as what the Rockets "can't" do. Basically it all depends on Yao Ming and the Rockets team involvement with Yao Ming. Fred believe the Rockets will figure it out. Tim thinks the Rockets won't figure it out in time.

I saw that too and have to disagree with legler. We have players that can go for 30 on almost any given night. Steve, Yao and yes Mobley.

Also I'm not in The States so I don't know too much about the suns, but do they have anyone else after that. Mo has been coming around and is good for up to 20 unless he has a really good night. All you need then is for Griff, Posey or Rice to have a good game and we're damn hard to beat. Yao and Steve had 16 pts together last night and we blew out the clip joint. I know they're not the greatest team, but they usually give us trouble.

I did expect Fred Carter to back us up though. He usually only says good things about The Rockets.

It could be worse they could've had that idiot tom assbert's opinion.
