Latest member of Red Nation is here, my firstborn - Ben. He was actually born at 10:59 am, but I'll round up to make his full birthdate: 11:00 01/01/10 Baby's a bit of binary code! He's also off to a good start if he wants to be a Rocket: 8 lbs 7 oz, 21.5 inches long. The less exciting news, and why it took me a while to put up this thread - mom's still in intensive care. I had to watch her nearly slip away a couple hours after the C-section (2 major complications afterwards). The good news is she's going to pull through it: she started to stabilize yesterday and can sit up on her own today. Now that I can finally crack a couple jokes, I've decided this was a well played trick to get daddy on diaper and feeding duty
Awesome, man.... Very happy for you. My first born came into this world in late August. We've heard of lots of rough stories with other women and their labor in recent months. My wife and I were very lucky that hers went pretty smoothly. Well, as much as possible for a 10 pound boy to be delivered naturally!
Congratulations, I trust mama and baby are doing well? Happy NEW YEAR !!! You did just miss the tax break though...got to explain to your kid about timing. DD
Congrats! Both my children were born C-section. We had a bit of a scare with the second. Glad all is well now!
Pshaw...my kid, who was born Dec 21, was 11lb 4oz and 22 inches long. Of course, I'm thinking he may be a future offensive lineman for the Cowboys with his build... Glad to hear everything is going well with the wife. Congrats on the little one!
Fantastic! Congratulations and I hope your wife recovers quickly. Your firstborn is a son? Same here and now he's a freshman at college. Rest up, because your life just changed forever, in a good way. Well, mostly! (wait until you haven't had a good night's sleep in months, and when they're older? bye bye $$$!!! )
Congrats! Despite the complications (sorry about those, by the way), a c-section keeps the chassis intact!
