    David Bowie!

The older I get; the better he is. Unbelievable range with no screeming gimmicks.

    top 3 all-time:

    1) corey glover
    2) jeff buckley
    3) thom yorke

I put them in this order for the following reasons:

    1) corey glover can do everything the other two could do, but they can't do some of the stuff he can do.

    2) jeff buckley can do everything thom yorke can do, but not vice-versa.

For pure rock and roll screech ability, I have to go with Robert Plant. For best overall voice, hmmm... I'll go with Gordon Sumner.

Damn, eight posts and no mention of Michael Philip Jagger...

For some weird reason, I always seem to get a chill when I hear him sing "Angie"

For pure rock n' roll coolness, I'll go with Robert Plant.

For sheer power and ability, Freddy Mercury.

Although my favorite is Nick Hexum, John Lennon gets my vote.

Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots. He has been ripped for sounding too much like Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam on his first album, but I don't really agree with that. He has completely reinvented his singing style since then and it is obvious on their latest album. Very few popular male vocalists have been able to sucessfully shift and change singing styles from album to album, even song to song without losing their edge. STP Rocks! Ok time to go to bed. :)
