So I don't go out much anymore in my old age and stuff like this is why, The local little pub I used to wander up to from time to time installed an internet jukebox. So now when you go there you have to hear the same stupid crap that is playing in every other bar that I try to avoid. Back when they stocked their own cds, the selection was less but at least there was some control of the the ambiance. And the topper. It is FREAKIN ONE DOLAR A SONG. I put in two bucks and got 5 credits. But each song is 2 credits. What the hell is going on?? I won't even mention the pop-up ads between songs. I think I somehow ended up buying a car on it last night. And there wasn't music playing a lot of the time because nobody wanted to pay that much I guess. Is this normal now? I try to go out more, but the world isn't cooperating.
The days of poppin' a quarter in for the "Elvira" are over, my friend. These days, it'll cost you .50 to hear the song, or a buck to download. I always download Meatloaf's "Anything for Love" At least it is 14 minutes long. THAT gets me my money's worth and typically drives out people I'd rather not see...
