Please lock if already been posted. I was checking out imdb.com just right now and it says that they're making a "Fourth Installment of the Indiana Jones Adventures." I fear this might be another Rocky where they should have just left it alone way back then. I hope this isn't just another lame extra cash-making movie. What's next another installment of the Godfather movies? One good thing is that it says Stephen Spielberg is doing the directing, so hopefully not that bad.
they signed up even stevens for a role. i don't really like his screen presence but he's been appearing in every second movie i've been seeing.
This film has been on again/off again in pre-production since about 1990. Apparently there have been more scripts than you can imagine, some of them supposedly pretty good, and George Lucas has apparently always found a reason to reject them. I'm not saying its not going to happen. I'm just saying take the listing with a grain of salt.
you can consider it "on-again" shia labeouf is attached... no word on Sean Connery, George and Steven are still working on him... John Rhys Davies (Sallah) is out
Indy's got competition with the new, more family friendly, 'National Treasure' series. Them clues that worked back in the 80s are gonna have to be a little more interesting this time around. Plus, more T&A.
I thought Rocky IV was one of the best of the series personally. Rocky Balboa was a much better end for the series than the horrible Rocky V. They realized the last movie was kind of a letdown so they set things right. As for Indiana Jones, the Last Crusade was such a great movie it's going to be hard to top. I just hope that they keep the focus on Indy along with his father and don't muddle the story up by introducing a bunch of new characters that none of us really care about. I heard Cate Blanchett was going to be in the new Indiana Jones movie also. Not sure if it's official or not.
It's been discussed already, but search is off, can't find the old thread(s). It's been like 2 years now that they've been working on it, right after Revenge of the Sith came out. It's never really been off, it's just that Lucas and Spielberg hadn't been on the same page when it came to a script until some months back.
i hear a ti-bit about this the other day...but like others have mentioned its been tossed around for a long time now.
They have a cast(or partial cast) and even a release date of May 22, 2008, but I still won't believe this is in production til I see the Thanksgiving teaser released. And sorry, but the prospect of a 65 year-old Harrison Ford putting on the fedora again doesn't exactly excite me. Especially considering the man hasn't been remotely decent in a movie since The Fugitive and that was 14 years ago. And let's not forget that George Lucas has completely lost whatever talent he once possessed as a filmmaker and storyteller. The one reason I'm clinging to hope that this movie won't piss on the franchise's legacy is Steven Spielberg. He can still knock it out of the park on occasion. Minority Report is one of the best films of the decade.
