Go to Kroger and look for Private Selection AMAZING icecream. Moose Track, Reese's, snickers...basically all of them are good
Sorry but not even close to Blue Bell, Private Selection Deteriorate and lose taste in the long run..
Whoa dude, Blue Bell is awesome Ice Cream. I question some of their "flavors" where they use like 10 different kinds of nuts, but the actual Ice Cream they make is awesome. Did you weigh that half gallon compared to a blue bell half gallon? Store brands tend to have way more overrun(air mixed in to make the ice cream softer but also to use less total actual ice cream per half gallon) and they have a lower butterfat content. Blue Bell is like 1% shy in butterfat from being officially recognized as a super premium ice cream according to an article in the press this summer.
I don't get the Blue Bell hate. To have tasted Blue Bell is to love Blue Bell. However, we do know that not everyone is lucky enough to have it in their area, so maybe that is part of it.
You have to be kidding, I haven't even tried Blue Bell but this Private Selection ice cream is the Kroger store brand...it sucks.
Anything blows Blue Bell away. It sucks something awful. Terrible texture, runny consistency, and very skimpy on the ingredients.
I guess it's an acquired taste becuase I love blue bell over all the other brands in its class....dreyers,breyers, PS....
I've tasted Blue Bell and although I did like the banana pudding I don't think the ice cream is overly better than some others.
I still think Blue Bell Homeade Vanilla is the best ice cream on the planet. It honestly tastes like the ice cream my grandmother used to make with her little machine when I was a kid. I know this sounds like a commercial, but it's true.
Blue Bell reminds me of when I was a young lad, watching my Grandfather feverishly churning the butter out on the back porch. Vanilla Pudding, he called it.
^^^ My uncle called it "Our Super Secret Happy No-No Juice." It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault.
