This video pretty much just combines most of the prospects into one 10 minute clip. Some highlights of Roy that I had not seen, but he still doesnt look to me to be the absolute STUD that most talk him up to be and that would be worthy of our 8 pick and luther head... However, enjoy... http://youtube.com/watch?v=9lN4YFOcl_U&search=bargnani
Ya, I think the thing with Roy is that he isn't the top prospect in any one category, but he is somewhere in the top 4 in every category(except maybe potential). It's his all around game that makes him so highly regarded. He is athletic, plays defense, is a floor leader, shoots the ball well, slashes well, is a good rebounder for a guard, makes good decisions, handles the ball well - he doesn't have a flaw in his game except that he isn't the best at any one thing. Its easy to see why the Rockets want him so bad - he's versatile enough to help the Rockets in the many categories that they need help with besides the fact that he is the youth the Rockets desperately need.
The thing about those clips is they rarely show you what you want to see about a player. I want to see how prospects move without the ball, how well they shoot off screens, how well they dribble in traffic, etc. Most of the youtube clips I have seen primarily show guys dunking uncontested fast breaks. It's cool to watch, but 90% of collegiate players can do that...
Nice video montage, but I definitely could have done without that soundtrack. Oh well, I guess that what mute buttons are for.
I'm surprised that in the internet age that we can't get better prospect videos like this one. Even the quality is pretty good. I really want Roy, Gay or Aldridge when all is said and done tomorrow.
