I've been interested lately on Kaufman's life. He was a weird man, lived off of slap-stick real life comedy. I've been watching clips from http://www.kinglawler.com/classic.htm and Ive been wondering, back then, was their wrestling match REAL? Seemed as if Kaufman really got knocked out after the piledrivers... I feel bad for him.

Nope. Jerry Lawler admitted at some point after Kaufman's death that it was all a big set-up, and that they were actually friends.

Their part in Man On the Moon was PRICELESS.

I'll admit I thought it was real the first time I saw it. Not just because he sold the injury after the match, but also because of the infamous David Letterman segment with Kaufman and Lawler. If you've ever seen that footage, you'd realize why people were willing to believe wrestling was real. They went all the way with their "feud".

Yep. There was nothing fake about that slap. Wrestling moves are scripted, but they still hurt... Kaufman was willing to go through a lot of pain to amuse himself.

John Stossel is stupid, sleazy, waste of human flesh.

Did anyone see when Big Van Vader had a guy ask him if wrestling was real on a Kuwait morning show?
