Latest Mock Draft from Andy Katz has Demarr JOhnson slipping to #9. Like Katz, I too beleive if he was there the Rockets would take him. WHile this does still leave a whole at the bigger positions, I feel Johnson represents a solid NBA player for years to come.

    Some implications/lineups:
Johnson can be used either as a backup to Walt at the three initially (eventually a starter--he is 6'9) or even at a shooting guard. How does this help Rudy? Well he loves matchups. Think of the possible back court lineups-
    Francis, Anderson, Walt
    Francis, Cuttino, Walt
    Francis, Anderson/Cuttino, Johnson

Here is one I really like-
    Francis, Johnson, Walt

Rudy could play lineups with numerous match advantages, lineups that can run, lineups with more of spot up shooters (Johnson and Anderson), lineups that specialize in penetraing, etc, etc

With Johnson's solid play and ability to play both 2 and 3 it would be a great pickup and I would definitely choose him over Moiso and Miller.

Keep in mind Katz says this in his mock on Mike Miller:

"Miller is only working out for Atlanta, Chicago and Orlando, which gives an impression that he thinks he's going somewhere between Nos. 4 and 7."

Miller already worked out for Houston.

I really haven't watched Dermarr or Miles play, so I'm asking this question. What skills does Miles possess that Dermarr doesn't have? In other words, why does it seem like Miles is regarded with a lot more potential than Dermarr? They are both the same size and they both have athleticism (Dermarr can jump 40 inches!). Plus, Dermarr adds his outside shooting ability. Is Miles a terrific inside player?
