Yep. Impossible to argue with that line of thinking. Every wise player in the league would do the same.
Pringles system just doesn't suit older and/or back to the basket C's. Not many of those around these days anyway. Most players in other positions would love to play in a system where they can jack up shots to inflate their numbers. Especially in a contract year.
LOL why the Bogut hate? First of all he clarified it wasn't Houston that he would have forced a buyout, it was if he was traded to Philly because that team was too young and probably wouldn't even play him a lot because they want to lose/get more picks or they want to develop young guys. Secondly Bogut would have been decent as the backup big man next to Capela, unlike Nene Bogut can actually play defense and he doesn't avoid contact like Nene did during the Lakers game. Calling him "dirty" is just because he is wearing a different jersey, if he was in Houston you'd like him it's the same thing with Pat Bev who is a fan favorite here. It's reasonable for him to choose Dallas because at this point in his career Bogut wants some stability, and Dallas is like one of the oldest teams in the L so he would fit like a glove there. And Cubes has gotten (an undeserved IMHO) rep for being good to his former players due to his "chemistry and kumbayah" comments, even though it's not true as we saw with Steve Nash, Finley and Tyson Chandler who ended up on different teams when Cubes thought they were no longer good. I thought it was a massive loss, I mean we're paying Ryan Anderson way more money than he's worth I would have liked part of that to go to Bogut.
I don't care if he clarified anything - it doesn't change the fact that I am happy that he isn't in HOU. I'm not calling him dirty because he wears a different uniform, otherwise I'd have to call some 435 players dirty, which I don't. He does a lot of little dirty things during the game, sets tons of illegal screens (thankfully refs are more likely to call them this year) and when you so much as look at him the wrong way, he starts whining. Sure Bogut is a better defender, but IMO Nene still fits this system better, especially as an offensive player. Time will tell, but like I said, it's just my opinion.
Who else enjoyed watching him get T'ed up for whining like a b**** that he's not getting the calls he used to get on the Warriors?
The way Capela is playing thank god this old gimp decided to go to Dallas. Simply because Clint would have probably come off the bench as his backup and he would have not developed like he is right now.
If Bogut came available at a reasonable cost, you better believe I would make a move for him. I am not drinking the Capella Koolade... Bogut, Chandler etc. all are upgrades.
Don't you think capela has improved tremendously nook? He seems like he's hit another gear over the past several games and his instincts - at least with harden - is tremendous. I agree that bogus would be great and if take him any day (bc we'll need help against big teams like memphis) but I do have some concern about him being able to handle MDA's style. It was one reason he cited for choosing Dallas.
If Bogut was here I would take it as a starter or as a backup. The man only plays like 20 mins a night for the last couple years and god knows we need all the defense we can get.
He'll probably be moved again, although probably not here. Every other veteran should be shopped. Dallas should be especially aggressive exploring the market for Andrew Bogut, a big man who has proved to be valuable for a contender but is wasted playing his contract season on a bad team. http://www.espn.com/blog/dallas/mav...s-must-make-the-best-out-of-rebuilding-season
