    Andrei Kirilenko

    #47 | Small Forward | Utah Jazz | Roster
Height: 6-9 Weight: 210 lbs. Born: February 18, 1981, Moscow, Russia Age: 21 College: None

    10.7 pts
    4.9 rbs
    1.9 blocks
    1.4 steals
    26 min.

Not bad for a young small forward. If Utah is indead talking to the rockets could this be the man that the rockets could be interested in?

On paper, that guy looks like the kind of SF that Rudy covets. I didn't realize that this dude was that good. Have I been living under a rock and this guy is all that, or are those just decieving numbers? Who has seen him play a bunch?

That trade is a little too much to give up if I'm the Rockets.

I am thinking more along the line of our 14th pick to go along with KT. This give Utah a PF to take over after Malone and a decent draft pick.

The Rockets would get a nice young talented SF and are able to keep the 5th pick in the draft.

I saw him quite a bit in the preseason

he's got a huge wingspan, likes to play D and does it well

he runs very well (as you know if you saw his preseason game against the Rocks where he stole the ball and dunked from near the free throw line as the buzzer sounded) has similar handles to Dirk...
He's a stud and it'll cost to get him

    my idea is linked above

other message boards have found this trade to be fair

If the Rockets are listening to serious offers from Utah, this is the only guy on their roster that I would want. I can't believe Utah would get rid of him.

I'd have to take a look at Jarron Collins as well. For a rookie plaing the center position, he put up some decent numbers. However, I doubt that Utah would be trading any of their young players. If they traded Malone, it would have to be for young players & salary cap relief, imo.

Another good thing about Kirilenko is that he is from Russia and we could give him a communist salary.

Kirilenko could only count $30,000 a year against the cap!

Utah feels once the get Lopez(real madrid) into the fold with andrei and stevenson that they will have a upper hand on the rebuilding effort. I have a friend over there and he said the guy is much better than Tony parker. They just have to convince sloan to stick around after Malone and Stock are gone.

Utah thinks as highly of Kirilenko as the Rockets do Griffin...

Where do we get this idea that teams WANT to give us young, talented players?

KT and Mo T for Kirilenko, you'd have to be out of your mind to accept that trade. I think everybody is desperate for a euro player right now and not even considering if this guy is worth it. I think his stats are a little bloated when you consider he has the all time career leading assist (and elbows/flops) leader giving him the ball right under the basket. I don't think I've ever seen him hit a jump shot. KT could give us the same production now in 26 minutes if Francis could get him the ball right under the basket with a skinny SF guarding him.

Donyell Marshall....I MIGHT think about him. But Kirilenko is just too hard to look at. Well, on second thought, so is Donyell.

    Nevermind. No Jazz for you!

who cares about his jump shot

he rebounds well, runs well, and blocks shots as well as Eddie

for a 21 year old, his defensive stats are amazing

Even with his injuries, Steve Francis took over 250 more shots than Stockton. Kirilenko will need to get the ball to be effective (he had far fewer Off. Rebs than Cato). He is too good a fit for the Jazz and I can't imagine they would give him up for anything less than Griffin.

A KT for Marshall conversation wouldn't surprise me, but Marshall (and Ostertag) make about 7x KT's salary. Marshall has a team option for only one more season and would need to be resigned before being considered.

I am a big K fan after last nights game. Man, he looked like the best foreign player in last nights game. Those blocks looked mighty sweet and his motor is always running.

Nothing like a nice Rocky quote for a little inspiration.
