I dont know if the salaries work, but I would love to see Francis shipped to Minnesota. For those who do the cap stuff, come up with something. The principles in the deal I see in my head are Francis and Cato for Ebi, Kandi, Hudson, and some picks. Orlando might do it to be rid of Francis' contract and to add a youngster with potential in Ebi. Plus Kandi's contract ends this season so they don't have to worry about that. This is the lineup to get the TWolves back in the hunt:

    Francis
    McCants
    Wally
    KG
    Cato

Thanks for this tasty tidbit of information.

*arkoe writes furiously in notes section of Bible: "God approves of trading Francis and Cato for Ebi, Kandi, Hudson, and some picks."

Ha! I will conquer the world!!!

Since when did Ebi have potential? The guy is a complete bust as an NBA player. Plus, he's even flamed out in non-NBA venues. I wouldn't be surprised if the Wolves just cut him from the roster and buy him out. What a loser in every sense of the word. What were the Wolves thinking?

I played against Ebi in high school. He will not ever be successful in the nba.

Ebi was smoked by D-leaguers this summer in New Mexico. He is one awful basketball player. Maybe they could send something more useful Orlando's way.

How about Francis, Garrity and Augmon for Szcerbiak, Olowakandi, Hassell and a first-round pick? It leaves the Wolves without a center, but Kandi, even in his contract year, hurts his team a lot more than he helps.

Dude, you're a Rockets fan aren't you? WHY THE HELL DO YOU WANT THE WESTERN CONFERENCE TO GET BETTER?!?!? Screw that. Find a way to send KG to the East.

27: And God spoketh unto Orlando "Behold, for your wicked vanity in building a false idol to Weisbrod and trading T-Mac I shall leave you with nothing. Where once stood Cuttino Mobley, now there is only the salary of a cut Doug Christie. 28: Where once stood the servicable Cato, now stands the biggest piece of crap ever taken with the #1 pick. And as for your beloved Steve Francis, now you shall suffer under the trigger-happy Troy Hudson and a guy even I haven't seen play on an NBA court. 29: Repent oh wicked sinners of Orlando, and perhaps I will be merciful in the lottery this year."

That's funny!!! (but Dwight Howard is not the biggest piece of crap ever taken @ #1...he has potential to be as good if not better than Amare.)

Why would God care about the TWolve when he is already a Rockets fan?

I had a very similar thought about these two teams trading a few days ago. it seems both teams will have another bad year and so why not make a big trade to shake things up?

    here was what i thought:

    wolves trade: KG, jaric

magic trade : hill, howard, nelson

the magic would be betting on a duo of steve and KG while giving up thier future nelson and howard. jaric makes the perfect mate for steve since he can play the point, but on defense guard the 2.

the wolves start over with a core of howard, nelson, and mccants. they let hill expire which saves them $24mil putting them around $13 mil under the cap for this summer or next depending on when they use the team option.

You think SF will make a team better?? At best, the Wolves would remain mediocre with Stevie holding the ball whilst KG yells for it ;)

Also, that lineup presented...would be horrid defensively. SF is average at the point on D, mccants is already a little slow for 3's let alone 2's, and Wally's problems on D are well-documented. Only hope would be for KG and Cato to swat it all away inside.

Between Steve, Wally, KG, they would surely be passionate while playing..

the whole point is that I really like Steve and wish him well. Orl is rebuilding and Minn could use somebody to help KG. I think that Steve would actually defer to KG and become the top flight running mate he could be. Think of it as the PG KG should have had since Marbury got crazy.

So the propose deal boils down to Tmac,Howard,Lue,Gaines for Hudson,Kandi, Ebi and half legged christie/half hearted Mobey. Wow. Wonder where is that Orlando reporter that applauded the initial trade.
