Our board has become very divided, especially concerning the head coaching position. There have been numerous arguments about JVG and Adelman, whether one is better than the other, offense vs. defense etc..etc....etc.... I propose we stop the bickering about JVG, as the decision has been made, and as all of us are Rocket fans we should support our new coach, and see what he brings to the table. Lateral move, or upgrade? It doesn't matter now, the deal is done.....let's give Rick and Morey some time to see what they are going to do for us passionate Rocket fans next year. I think at the end of the day, we all just want a good quality basketball team that competes deep into the playoffs. Whomever the coach is.......... Olive branch extended, forget the bickering.....let's all get on the bus and root for the Rockets. GO ROCKETS !!! DD
I'm underwhelmed, but I'm hoping he's the guy to take these Rockets to the next level. Hopefully, Yao and T-mac will stay healthy and the team will add some more quality pieces around them. Regardless, Adelman is the guy now, and he's got my support. Here's to a long run of playoff success and maybe another banner for Toyota Center.

Hopefully, Yao and T-mac will stay healthy and ... Pipe dream!!! They both have shown that they can't stay healthy for the entire season. Despite how much I enjoy watching them when they are healthy, I say trade them both!!! Edit: This probably deserves its own thread.

OK, Rick has been around a day or so AND No Championship Rings! I say fire the putz. BTW just smart is Rick Adelman anyway? The team he wants to coach appears to have decided to fire it old coach before the playoffs and perhaps before the start of the year. Is it any coincidence this has been the last year for both JVG and CD? Does any coach in his right mind think that they can do better than JVG did last year, given the injuries to the Big Two that the team had to play through?
JVG is our new Clutch the Bear as shown on photoshop the joy/pain and I'm happy. It's easy to go forward when you're not a JVG supporter and I suspect DD is not. Change is tough but sometimes it's necessary. JVG is gone off to ruin some poor High School teams offensive game.
DD, Its easy for you to say since you (and me) got what you wanted short of Adelman naming Vspan the starting PG.
Fixed it for you. I am already behind Adelman. I would rather have kept Van Gundy, but that's over. So get Adelman some players! I really don't care who coaches as long as he doesn't have to coach any of the following: Snyder Alston Hayes J Howard Deke Head J Lucas III I will give VSpan and Novak some slack although moving them would be nice also. might as well keep Battier to back up TMac at the 3. There GO ROCKETS- get rid of the trash so we don't have to go through another coaching change in 3-4 seasons. Thanks for the olive branch, now let's also extend it to JVG and let's all stop posting like we fired him because he was a bad coach. He wasn't.

DaDa sounds like a politician who just got elected to office and is trying to mend fences after he ran a campaign to tear down the other side. Blah whatever. I am fine with Adelman. JVG couldn't get it done past the 1st round so it was time for a change. Go Rockets!
Yes, I realize that. And, IMO, if Adelman starts doing a poor job, I will be all over him as well. All I care about is the Rockets team and their success....nothing else matters. GO ROCKETS ! DD
