    Hey all,

If this has already been posted, my apologies. Let me know what you all think about this article. IMO, as usually SportingNews will not show the Rockets any respect.

Should Jason Collier be fully recovered from his knee surgery, he could be a Rik Smits-like high post threat who could space the floor with his perimeter shooting. He can't guard anyone or rebound well enough, but first things first.

Ouch. Wait 'til The Cat reads this...;)

It was not that bad. Actually, they said more good than bad.

Francis courted by MJ and the Wizards!? I hope that Mobley reminds Francis of the sacrifice he made to remain with him in Houston!!! :)

why in the article did the writer include Francis as one of the people who enjoys shooting the ball. If remember last year the coaching staff tried to get him to shoot more.

that reminds me of the revue in 2000. I asked a washington wizards' asst. coach if they were going to try to steal Stevie from the Rockets and he said "you know he lives there during the offseason? hehehehe". Then he put his hand on his chin and pulled up, exposing his bare skull w/ fireballs in each of his eyesockets and a serpent for a tongue.

I knew at that moment, that the Rockets were ****ed.

Ok guys, let's not go overboard with this. There are way too many games to be played before he even becomes a free agent.

If we do trade Walt for White, that may help them get Steve with the money freed up from the trade.

Actually, Francis no longer lives in DC in the offseason. He has a big house on the west side of Houston. He splits his time between the two places.

Even if they did offer him money, it would be just like Webber. Houston could ALWAYS offer him more according to the CBA. Personally, I don't see the Rockets letting it go that far. I bet he gets locked up after this season with a long extention for the max.

The only way I see Francis leaving is if the Rockets don't improve, or take a huge step back. Getting to the playoffs this season goes a long way.

This quote from the article is interesting:

I think that's where Rice is going to go to get more touches and points. He kind of hinted at that himself. He'll get plenty of touches since Mo doesn't camp out regularly in paint like Dream or Charles or Big Kev used to do. I think Rice will be a surprise low post scorer for us next year. Plus I think he will help Griffin GREATLY with his shooting touch.
