At 6:30 this morning, a beautiful baby boy was born to one of my closest friends and someone I consider a sister. Later this morning, my wife's doctor confirmed that she is indeed pregnant with our second child. I am now overcome with joy at what happened tonight. It has nothing to do with electing a black man to the highest office in the land. I truly believe that there are better days ahead. I truly believe that the United States of America is on a path of healing and reclaiming our place in the world where we belong...as the one country that all others strive to be.
