check it out...this prank was brilliant! http://www.improveverywhere.com/mission_view.php?mission_id=57 i'll just post a snippet so you know what it's about: The idea for this mission was submitted by a stranger via email. Agent Slavinsky wrote in to suggest I get either a large group of people in blue polo shirts and khakis to enter a Best Buy or a group in red polo shirts and khakis to enter a Target. Wearing clothing almost identical to the store's uniform, the agents would not claim to work at the store but would be friendly and helpful if anyone had a question. There aren't any Targets in Manhattan, so I decided to go with the two-story Best Buy on 23rd Street.... and it's a lot more entertaining if you dislike best buy
Impressive in the sense that they were able to gather that many people and everything, but they really didn't seem to accomplish much at all. Would have been more interesting if their actions had some sort of lasting result, but all they did was get kicked out after like 40 minutes.
that didn't make me laugh so much as just a slight grin to entire time it took to read half of that page. Still waiting for a punchline
Yeah, I got halfway down to the first video. It was attack of the nerds, as Triumph the dog would say.
It'd definitely be worth infiltrating that army of nerds if it meant snagging the blonde in the videos
What a bunch of nerds and a waste of NYPD resources. Can you imagine having so little of a life that you would go participate in something like that? That's rock bottom, folks.
that would have made a pretty funny small video on collegehumor.com or something, but that giant ass website/documentary makes it pretty.. well.. lame..
I am inspired to do a prank too. I am going to wear my lab coat and walk into a plastic surgeon's waiting room and see what transpires. Free breast augmentation consultation. Then record it and post it on my own website.
Kam, werent you one of the agents? I thought I saw you. How can you not understand the joke if you were in on it?
This is from the FAQ of the site: Why do you do this? Improv Everywhere is, at its core, about having fun. We're big believers in "organized fun". In the process we bring excitement to otherwise unexciting locales and give strangers a story they can tell for the rest of their lives. We're out to prove that a prank doesn't have to involve humiliation or embarrassment; it can simply be about making someone smile.
That took, maybe, 9-10 minutes to read through. Maybe if it were cut up into 30-word posts on a message board, with lots and lots of cute little smile faces ...
Best Buy should be thanking them for putting friendly people in the store willing to help people. Maybe if they could show up around Christmas time and open some of the cashier stations that BB normally leaves closed despite the masses...
I think this is this is their best prank.. http://www.improveverywhere.com/mission_view.php?mission_id=48
