As some of you may know it was my 30th this past saturday, however due to a wedding I had to attend the party is pushed forward to this Saturday....

    it is an American theme

attendees are required to bring American beverages, and we are supplying the American food and entertainment...

on the menu so far (trying to keep it simple to prepare) are fries, chilli, hamburgers, hot dogs, donuts, fried chicken, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, philly cheese steaks, fried chicken, pretzels and then some texmax in queso and quasadillas.... any other food ideas???

i need some ideas for games and entertainment, i'll have a projector set up playing some american TV and movies, but anyone have some games to play, thinking pin the tail on the ass (GWB) and twister, any other ideas, thinking maybe chalking out a large monopoly board on the paving... ideas please???

also need music suggestions, need to cheap the party jiving and obviously must be american songs, the odd cliched song would be great

assistance would be muchly appreciated yall

Kid Rock has some pretty cliched "American" songs... or so I've heard.

    Cowboy, American Bad ^$$, etc.

There was also a band "The United States of America" wasn't there?

Lenny Kravitz redo of "American Woman."

    "California Girls"- Beach Boys.

Of course, "Born in the USA" by the 'Boss.' (Try to find "Born in East L.A." to play right after it though... by Cheech Marin.)

"Livin' In America" by James Brown from Rocky IV soundtrack...

"Little Pink Houses" by John Mellencamp

"Proud to Be an American" Lee Greenwood

"R-O-C-K in the U-S-A" by (?)Bob Seger I believe...

    "America" Ray Charles

"They Come INto America" Neil Diamond

That AC/DC song that mentions them "American Thighs" - "Shook Me All Night Long"

and perhaps more suggestions will come in...

See, the whole thing is weird to me. From an American's point of view, I always thought that people in cuontries such as yours would eat things like donuts, peanut butter and jelly, fries, etc...

You can't get any more American in music than Credence Clearwater Revival.

You could find a party you're not invited to and invade it...

Actually, french fries are European in origin, with Belgium, France, and Span all claiming to have originated the dish, hamburgers and hot dogs are widely believed to have German origins, doughnuts were introduced by Dutch immigrants, and some say that pretzels go as far back as ancient Rome, though most believe that they were created by European monks. The PB&J is a sandwich, and everybody knows that the sandwich was named after John Montague, 4th Earl of Sandwich

Nice "American" party you're having there...For your musical selections, might I sugges some Beatles, Stones, and Rammstein? :D
