So my 7 year old loves this show. He knows all the top folks, and he's now doing an intro to parkour class at a local gym.

He really really wants a backyard ninja warrior course... which I am fine with and happy to oblige.

Googling isn't that helpful though, unless I want to be one of these very handy dads who builds a bunch himself... which I could do if I had the time and wasn't lazy.

Anyone have experience making or buying this type of stuff? Warrior obstacles, parkour obstacles and the sort for backyard/kid use?

Some of those top Ninja Warrior people are from Houston. Would it be better to just take your kid to one of their Ninja Warrior gyms? Should buy you some time until you can print warped wall schematics from pinterest.

Yep, that's basically where I'm at.

I'm not in Houston... but yeah, he's already doing a parkour class once a week.

this was just to get some stuff in the backyard.

i was surprised there weren't more pre-made type options

Being that he's 7 just going to the gym should be fine. If you want to do something at home keep it cheap and simple because kids change their minds all the time. Hang a rope in the tree that he can climb or swing on. Paint some squares in the yard and let him jump from one to another. Rig up a rope for him to craw under and the jump over. Maybe buy a monkey bar. Just be simple and creative. The older he gets if he sticks with it just add things.
