My wife asked me to post a thread to see who y'all think is going tonight. Personally, I would like it to be redhead John as he really sucked last night, but Diana may be on the block, too.
I don't think John really is good enough to be an "Idol". I really think Camile needs to go. I don't think I have enjoyed her sing once through the entire season. .. And I like Diana! Mary
yeah... but John flat out stinks... I agreed with Simon when he said it was absolutely excruciating to listen to him sing songs other than the classics that he's fit for. Diana is okay... spunky. But she's not the best performer. Simon expects a lot out of Jasmine, so maybe she will be top 3. George... oh man... best song of the evening last night. But I just can't STAND watching him perform. The squats, the ridiculous facial expressions. Good singer... but does he have the image to be an idol? I'm starting to like LaToya a lot actually. Good singer, and she's very pretty. My girlfriend and I both like her to win now that Amy's out. That was an injustice I tell you. Jennifer Hudson has an awesome voice too, the circle of life was one of the best performances i've seen this season. In any case, John Stevens (unless he gets sympathy votes), Camille, Jennifer (did she save herself?), and JPL are on the bubble. I'd say LaToya, Fantasia (despite not being as good as usual last night), Jasmine, and George are safe for a while.
It's one of these two: John Stevens is awful compared to everyone else. He's an emotionless statue up there. Camille is nice to look at. Beyond that, her chorus on Yellow Brick Road was tough to listen. "Ohhh... Ohhh... Oh..."
Who's the dope who sang the Elton John song? I didn't see it but a radio show I was listening to this AM played back a snippet. They were barking about how horrible the rendition of the song was. They were saying this person should be gone. After hearing it...I tend to agree.
all the dopes sang Elton John songs... The American Idol crowds sucks ass. They know when one of the performers sucks...they should just BOO them. If only the show were in Harlem...
I wish old JPL would bit the proverbial dust. He can't sing, for starters and his dancing reminds me of Elaine from Seinfeld. As for John Stevens, I liked hearing him do the Sinatra-type material, but he just doesn't work for anything else. His Motown night performance never once made it on key.
On the bubble - John Stevens, JPL, Camille. Rising stock - La Toya London, Jennifer Hudson, George Jennifer has been doing great since she lost the big hair which made her look fat and unattractive. The problem is, she doesn't seem to have a lot of fans - how could she have been bottom 3 last week after a good performance? I think George has been doing well, but the goofy expressions and hopping have got to stop - not idol material to me. My favorites are La Toya and Jasmine.
If John Stevens doesn't go home tonight, my TV screen is going to have a gaping hole the exact size and shape of my remote.
