Very funny. The alien character has a lot of potential. Hopefully people will watch it so they don't cancel it prematurely.
I thought it was not even near as good as Family Guy. I think Seth MacFarlane should focus more on Family Guy.
Eh. I think it had its moments, and it could become something really funny, but it didn't blow me away. Oh, and was anyone else hoping that when he brought home the dog, it would be Brian?
It have too many normal characters to be a comedy. If you look at Family Guy, it have 3 crazy characters(4 if you consider a talking dog is not normal), and it makes people laugh everytime.
I agree 100%! That is exactly what I was thinking the minute the fish started talking. I also didn't really care much for the alien, but I think he could become funnier.
Definetly had its moments where I chuckled a few times, but then again I wasn't exactly blown away the first time I saw Family Guy either, so I'm sure I just need to get into it a little more. And the goldfish is alright but I can see the alien's voice getting on my nerves. I think the thing I laughed at the most was when the boy (Steve?) jumped on the buffalo and started riding him. Only because of the fact that the mascot made actual buffalo sounds even though it was just a person in there... I don't think my roommate got it cause I was alone in laughing.
Made me laugh a few times. Thought the fish was pretty funny. Wierd thing was, as I kept watching I kept seeing Peter in the Father. Like when he tried to fart, and admited it.
I laughed several times. It wasn't bad for an opening effort. It's got a looooooooooong way to go to be as funny as Family Guy. Oh, how I long for some new Family Guy episodes.
Decent, but too similar to Family Guy at times... I wish they'd done the Groening thing and kinda mixed up the art styles, as he did with Futurama and the Simpsons. The art/animation for American Dad and Family Guy are exactly the same. But I'm just nitpicking I guess.
For those that said that they didn't like it as much as family guy (but then again, what is even close? Scrubs maybe), how many shows that's currently on would you put ahead of this one?
Chappelle's great, but I haven't been able to catch anything new on lately (wasn't something about contract and his health delaying the next season). Simpson has gone down hill a long time. It's usually a hit or miss. Still better than 90% of what's on T.V. but just because everything else is horrible. Sports Center's good, but different genres, and definitely on a down hill course too. Way too much of a cliche broadcasting. Aqua teen hunger force, heard a lot of good things about it, maybe should catch an ep, but really I don't watch T.V. much in the 3+ years of college cuz my major suxors and just rapes my free time. The fact that most shows sux doesn't help me wanting to watch something. So I only watch when I can with what I can dl of the net. But I'll give a ATHF a try in the future. Like I've said about American Dad, it's come close to family guy, which is rare for what's on T.V. when I do have some chance/desire to watch it. So far my list of top shows to me: Scrubs Family Guy (when it comes back on) Chapelle Show Apprentice (I'm actually very impressed with the contestants and feel like I can learn something about team work and getting things done from the show) Simpson when it's good The Daily Show American Dad Simpson when it's bad Besides Aqua Teen, there is 24 as the shows I've heard a lot of good things about but don't have a chance to see.
definitely watch ATHF. if it's your type of thing, you'll find it hysterical. i always saw it coming on after futurama/family guy but never watched it b/c it looked like a stupid show that probably wasn't down my alley. i mean, fries, a shake, and a meatball? come on. but damn it's funny.
