Me neither. Pass on the dude who was an accessory to a murder. I would prefer the other Thompson twin
Watch the video....says it in the first 10 seconds.... Anyone who watched Amen with Elite knows he dribbles into trouble without getting it out of it well.
If it comes to that I hope they'll be willing to overpay to move up and get Scoot, even if it takes quite the haul. We really don't want to come out of this class with Miller as the pick... I just have a bad feeling that he's going to end up being a mediocre roleplayer. Y'know, though, I wouldn't be that surprised to see Miller fall to Detroit at #5 and not one but both Thompson twins go before him.
Miller is low on my board (mostly because I generally rank based on potential), but he'd still be *really* good, especially if JG/Sengun/Jabari hit. I do have concerns if Miller is meant to be "the guy," but he could be a great #2 or #3 guy on a team (with high certainty). I probably would be *slightly* disappointed if Rockets missed out on Wemby, Scoot, Amen, and didn't want to take a chance on say Whitmore. But Miller should be able to shoot....right? Like...this team isn't cursed....right?
Yeah if the top 3 went Wemby, Scoot and Amen in some order and we couldn't trade up I wonder if ORL would value Miller enough as a big guard to give up #6 and #11 for him? Anthony Black at #6 and hope Taylor Hendricks makes it to #11? Jarace, Whitmore, or Ausar at #6 and best pg available at #11? I hope Stone prepares for any eventuality this year.
I would be pretty happy with scoot, Miller or amen. Scoot reminds me of a young westbrook/Derrick rose. Miller reminds me of Paul George and Brandon Ingram. Amen reminds me of a combination of lamelo and giddey.
I'd rather get the best singular talent we could. Instead of trading down and picking up 2 young players. That's just me though.
And I've been on the Cam Whitmore train all college season.... But I have Whitmore 1a....Jarace Walker 1b.....Taylor Hendricks 1c for pick #4 That would be bigger Marcus Smart (1a) Shorter Robert Williams w/ 3-ball (1b) Chris Boucher w/ 3-ball (1c)
I'm hoping that becomes a reality, too. I'd like having that #11 to help facilitate a draft night trade for an established player. I think we are going to have to show some aggressive roster improvement before free agency begins if we want a shot at anyone. But who would need to be available at #4 for Orlando to pull off that deal?
KPj was the best player in the G-League easily when we first acquired KPj. Amen is not easily the best player in the G-League this year. So your barometer may be skewed. Better player in (KPj) G-League struggles in the NBA but lesser talent (Amen) in the G-League excels in the NBA. Yes upside down world still rules here on Clutchfans. Full pedal to the metal full throttle doesn't equate to automatic success in the NBA.....often it leads to more turnovers and inconsistent play. You will understand when Amen dribbles in the NBA and reaches a road block at the free throw line and he fumbles, stumbles, boots the ball or passes it to people who are not there or wearing the opposite uniforms.
