Great breakdown, I was most likely going to skip but if you got this much insight in development then I'll watch it. I just don't like watching senseless highlights. I watch with a different perspective, I coach youth league ball so I have a lot to learn, from coaching to controlling my emotions. My child made varsity as a freshman so I have to soak in as much knowledge as I can.
I'm not sure that's the best way to get a feel for how good they will be, but you can watch clips of their games on a Euro tour in an OTE production that's on YouTube. Spinella and Vecenie also talk about their game against Djurisic on YouTube.
It would be interesting to see how their game evolves when they are about to lose their athleticism but is far ahead in 12-15 years.
I don't expect them to necessarily be starting in 12-15 years. I'm more worried about what I think of them in the next 2-4 years. Their games should hopefully be a bit more evolved than the average college wing's/pg's game coming into the league. Athletically, they're gifted, even by NBA standards, and they've got good IQ when it comes to basketball, but I'm wondering what happens when they're asked to process information faster when those around them now become even more athletically incredible. Their summer league performance gave me hope, but I won't be convinced unless I see them against real competition, and I'm one of those who wanted us to draft Amen at our draft spot.
Man the suspense on watching Amen in a game is killing me at this point. The season needs to start already.
3 whole ass weeks seems like forever, especially when it'll probably be a 3 week long KPJ b****fest when we should be getting pumped to see our new guys and our young guys starting to bloom.
Sure, but b****ing about it over and over at this point achieves nothing but perpetuating the negativity when we've got a promising season to look forward to. I had my doubts on Amen as a draft prospect but he won me over with his interviews around and after the draft. He seems like he will be a good teammate with a good attitude and those players are easy to root for. I'm glad to see that KPJ being gone will open a door for him.
