Has anyone noticed this? AMC I believe have raised ticket prices in all their theatres. One excuse I heard for this was the price of Corn??? They've also eliminated student discounts. I can never understand why some theaters would have senior discounts but no student discounts. All of us have been students at one time and there are only a select few that have loaded parents. Seniors have saved up some dough in their lifetime and I think students need the discount more than seniors. My two cents. I'm just pissed off AMC raised their prices. Cinemark on the other hand is still the same.
movies are such rip offs, cinemark is 9.50 on weekend evenings, popcorn is 10 bucks with drinks? lol so for two ppl with popcorn you end up spending 40 bucks lol. No thanks
Screw that man, if you're going to spend that much, go the the alamo on located on hwy 6 in west oaks mall. 7.50 at the most and you can buy real food at menu prices...
I purchase the kids tickets. When they question me, I tell them their being racist and they let me slide.
ticket prices wouldnt go up because of the price of corn... the price of popcorn would go up. movie theaters only make like 5% or something off of the price of tickets. hollywood is jacking up the prices... actors are asking for more money along with all the producers. i also think prices are rising more because more people are just waiting and renting it from mcdonalds/red box for 1 dollar. if you are nice to the box office employee they might give you senior price if you ask for it. i think all movie ticket prices should be the same get rid of child/senior BS. everyone takes 1 seat to see the movie whats it matter what age you are.
How are you going to score with the chick you want so bad if you don't cough up the dough for a movie and dinner??? A blockbuster rental and dinner at McDonalds won't get you anywhere.
If people didn't want to see movies with $150 million dollar budgets, then tickets wouldn't be so expensive. Unfortunately, not too many people go see the artsy type small budget movies. The money for all the special effects has to come from somewhere...
haha I havent gone to the movie since using this website http://www.verycd.com/sto/movie/ (google can translate it for you) I just saw Forbidden Kingdom, and 21
AMC offers movies before noon for 5-5.50. Of course how many people want to wake up that early on the weekend to go watch a movie right?
i went to the indiana jones matinee. it was 5 dollars. thats okay with me.....i buy the child ticket anyways and do a 2 for 1.
Tinsel Town rules. . . .4$ before 6pm Best I have found for 1st run movies just say Indiana Jones with my son today The running some kids advert about 10 movies for 10$ a summer time thing .. i need to look into it Rocket River
movie prices suck but unless you have a kick ass sound system+blu-ray+an expensive HDTV waiting until the disc isn't the same because you miss out on what the theaters give you in terms of the experience. Food/drinks however I can live without.
damn, it's still $4 before 6 at tinseltown? still not worth it. i'd have to drive 20 miles just to get to a tinseltown near me. with the cost of gas, well, you know the rest.
Actually, it is a sliding scale. The theater makes practically ZERO the first week or two of a film's release. It all goes to the studio. After that, the longer the film is in release, the more of the money goes to the theater. That is one of the reasons the price of concessions is what it is. The theater has to make money somewhere. Concessions is where a theater's profit is.
Man . . .. that sucks I usually goto the one on 290 But I saw there was one in Pearland and Memorial City [that is if you in houston] there use to be one on the beltway at richmond but dunno if it is still there Rocket River
