Question. How good is it? I am thinking of buying this DVD that is out of stock. I never tried buying anything off Amazon's market place thing. Everybody, reply as fast as you can about your experiences with the market place. I am going to buy it in ten minutes.
I've bough a few books off of there without any problems. It is basically the same environment as eBay except you don't bid on the item. Make sure the seller has good feedback...
I guess the feedback is good. I will buy it in two minutes. Hurry up folks, lets go. More experiences please.
ahh, screw it, I just bought it. What is the difference between expedating shipping, and the other shipping? I went with the shipping that took longer.
I have used the marketplace a lot but not as much as I used to. As SCF said, you have to look at their feedback record. I have had maybe 2 no more than 3 bad experiences with it out of 30+ transactions. One of the experiences, I had no choice as only one person was selling what I wanted (he shipped the thing like 2 months after I bought it despite a promise to ship it like 2 days after I bought it). The other one which was the last one I used, the guy damaged the CD and sent in a refund. However, he never told me that until I emailed him. Then he sent the request for refund wrong. After 3 phone calls with Amazon, I finally got my 14 bucks back. Always buy through Amazon if you can but if it is out of stock, then use the marketplace - but look at the feedback closely.
I use it a lot just for comparison shopping with EBay. If you are frugal and can wait, one can usually get stuff pretty cheap. On the otherhand you can sell stuff for more on Amazon sometimes because I guess folks trust Amazon more. No charge Always make sure the item you get is *Not* publisher's remainder overstock (actually illegal to sell but people do it all the time), library return or a former rental for published material like CD's, DVDs and books. The overhead for selling on Amazon is pretty high, likewise, for buying the shipping eats at any diff in price with Amazon so one has to be sure the diff is greater than this. I've used Amazon to sell DVD's - some stuff that moves slowly on EBay is better on Amazon - no charge for listing on Amazon.
I have bought several DVD's from Amazon's Marketplace. Never had a problem with any DVD's or sellers. I highly recommend it. Some of the sellers sell new DVD's at decent prices and as previously posted, check feedback.
