    Awesome!

That's like the fat chick dissing the model because she knows how to cook.

Can the Kindle read your Yahoo!, Exchange, or GMAIL email? Can you add apps from thousands of choices?

    ♪ woh-oooo-oh-oh... ♫

FAIL on the attempt to make it seem like both items are made for the same thing... but reading books is only one of MANY things the iPad can do... and I don't even have either one of the two...

the nook is still a viable option if you only want an e-reader. While the apple is not.

Only if you want to read a book on your electronic device by a pool.

it's more like a baseball dissing a basketball player for not knowing how to throw a curve. They do different things.

Yes, actually. And the 3G is free. Not bad for a reading device.

e-ink, sir. apple cannot compete. People always underestimate how much nicer it is to read e-ink.

I guess apple should do one where it's dark out?

The price jab is better than the sunlight jab, but even that is somewhat misplaced comparing apple to oranges.

still think at that price it's an awesome reader though.

I'm curious as to how their Free3G works. I mean, what's the coverage?

Err, well, the 3G is provided by a particular carrier.

For the nook, it's AT&T. For the Kindle, it used to the Sprint but newer models are now also AT&T, too, I think.

You actually can do internet access on my Kindle. It does better with text that graphics, but you can read emails.

My wife has sat outside on numerous occasions reading a book on an iPad in bright sunshine with no problem.
