Has anyone bought cd's from this site? They had tons of copies of the cd I want, and I was lead to believe it's individual people selling them, and not just the company Amazon. The estimated shipping time was last Friday (16th), even though I purchased it on Monday (12th) and it hasn't arrived yet. I'm afraid, if it was a normal Joe I bought it from, maybe he has no clue the cd was purchased and didn't ship it yet. Im not sure how Amazon.com works. Any help?
i think amazon backs it up, ultimately...i've bought used cd's through there and never once had a problem.
Yes, if it was used then it was more than likely an individual seller. The seller is supposed to ship it within 2 days the item is purchased. The seller will receive an email notification from amazon showing them that their product has been purchased. So unless whoever you bought it from has checked their email or sellers account on amazon, they probably don't know you purchased their item. Hope this helps.
If search is enabled we had a thread on this earlier. Just make sure they have decent ratings and the cd is not a remainder - they cut a notch out of the CD case on remainders. Also, take into account the shipping cost - if Amazon ships it free, the used market has to be quite a bit lower to complete. shipping dates - if the seller shipped it via media mail ( the preferred method) it could take 7-10 days to reach you. The downside of buying stuff like this is media mail shipping - cheap, but slow.
It was directly from an indivual seller. Shipping was like $4 bucks, and its regular USPS ground. But what I'm worried about is, Candycane said Amazon sends them a notification email, but what if this guy hasn't checked his email in ages and doesn't even know I purchased his cd?
Possible. It's proper etiquette to put your sales on hold if you are out of town. It's ok to send an email asking the seller if they sent it. If they sent it via UPS there is always a tracking number. Ask for this.
