Funny how people change. He should have listened to Jay Spoiler <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_Uvkco6eumo&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_Uvkco6eumo&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Man, money and fame sure make people change. Sad about his grandfather being murdered, that's a terrible memory to have.
You guys are talking like Chris Paul is some kind of troublemaker? Last time I checked, he's still a great person that just wants to play for a contender. He's clearly one of the best 3 point guards and is in his prime and his team is going nowhere, especially since the owner and fans are so poor. Don't tell me you would even hesitate to quit your job if a much better one where you'd be happier came along.
No offense, but how does this story make you have a new respect for Paul? Number one he was never a bad guy. Number two he was doing it for his grandfather who was murdered. Isn't it natural and commonplace to pay tribute your deceased family members in some fashion? On the pure principal of honoring his grandfather (I'm not talking about scoring 61 points because that's definitely not common), I don't see what he did as far from the norm. Of course he's going to honor his grandfather, did you expect him to do anything different?
How the hell did he change .. He demanded a trade .. **** Even Hakeem demanded a trade twice at least doesn't make him a bad person .. It's so easy to forget that athletes have normal lives some of them are actually normal people .. not every athlete is Lebron James or Gilbert Arenas or Latrell Sprewell .. CP3 was always of one the few gentlemen in this league and will always be .. Let the Haters Hate ..
Gentleman don't shove people to the floor after getting dunked on either. It's plenty good guys in sports that have done some questionable things during a game. CP3 is in that class. Hell, i've heard Rafer Alston is a good guy. But dude's done some f'd up **** on the floor. Robert Horry, David West (can't stand him, but he's considered a good guy), list goes on.
ive never seen rafer, horry or west punch someone in the dick during a game. do you think malone is a gentleman too?
Wow, I thought guys actions on the court had nothing to do with character on the court. e.i. Tracy made the film for Darfur and held fundraisers with Deke and what not. EVERYONE he jumped to his defense about how much of a stand up guy he was for that but his actions basketball wise were shady. So now because you hit a guy in the nuts on the court, you're a bad guy all around? Everywhere? How ass backwards. CP is a good guy, you guys are all very confused.
Tracy was questionable in terms of how he handled things with his own team. He never hit anyone in the nuts. As a man that is one of the worst things you can do to another man. I don't think Paul is a bad guy off the court but people act like he is some innocent basketball player which is far from the truth.
I agree it's pretty bad what he did. But in the heat of the moment some guys do off the wall things to win or even get their frustration of losing out, like pulling someones shorts down. I've seen worse. Or even this
