http://60minutes.yahoo.com/segment/44/brain_man whoa he sees number sequence as colourful landscapes I'm in awe
This is the same guy that did the Today show two months ago? He's not exactly normal as he can't communicate or understand human emotions without processing each individual expression or feeling as he would a number.
I hope this guy taps into his potential and applies his God given talent and doesn't just tour around astonishing people with his numberness. Amazing guy. I saw a special on him on Discover last year. At the end he met Rainman. It was pretty unbelievable.
is this the guy that was on like dateline or something a few months ago. The guy i remember learned Icelandic in 5 days. THat is considered by many the hardest language in the world to learn.
A city in Georgia. I hope this guy doesn't use his "numberness" for evil. (Holding his drink up to his mouth) "Oh my gosh, I just had a great idea. He could come to the party tomorrow and remember things for me."
Pretty amazing. Learning Icelandic in 5 days is just crazy. I used to think I was a savant. Then I thought I might be an idiot savant. Now I realize I'm just an idiot.
I took a philosophy of human nature course a few semesters back. The whole class was based on our book. The book was called An Anthropologists On Mars its just a book on a bunch of case studies of idiot savants. The tests sucked, but to be honest it was an interesting course. Pretty sure my teacher was an atheist so thus we didnt talk about religion. Basically a neurology class, talked about how the brain functions and what not. Its a pretty good read, not really like a textbook if you find it and wanna pick it up.
